Are you actually being serious Marcus?

His missus is one of the most bigoted, prejudiced, people to be in the public eye for years but got fawned over because she was female, black, and the presidents wife.

Some of the stuff she came out with would make Arlene look like a beacon of diplomacy!

What you said is very true. It irritated me particularly, because where I grew up on the west side of Portland, even though there were few blacks, asians, etc., when I went to school, and afterward, racism didn't really exist here. And we did have some of most races and religions. We all got along fine. I don't remember anybody trying to cause problems over that.

And like you said, if all the soundbites of Michelle (or Barack) can be played back, in context, it's disgusting how often they played to race and dabbled in racially fueled matters.

If they are not prejudiced like it looks, then they would have to have used it as a tool for leverage because what happened is on the record.

My Mrs is from Iowa. Her family are honest (hard) working class ordinary American folk of Native American/Norwegian ancestry.

Obama care has really hit them hard. Hopefully all of the useless legislation that Obama forced through will now get dismantled.

Just reading the different news reports of all the protests and the violence from around the US really shows the true colours of the so called "caring, inclusive liberal movement' . The irony!

Even not knowing you or the wake you've left behind in commerce, I'll risk going out on a limb to wager that Trump may have built a 1000 times more than you have, or most of us, and established thousands more jobs and professional positions.

Looking at that, I would say his talk has far more value than your quote.

If I had to place bets on what's got value and what's cheap, I'd be placing my bet that your talk is the cheap talk.

The betting aspect is interesting. Because when the (apparently fake) polls suggested Trump was going to lose the election bad, apparently the established betting community the day of the election was putting greater odds on Trump. And they were right.

I think most people given Trumps start would do pretty well, in fact I believe its been said that if he had put daddy's money in a decent interest account he would be pretty much where he is know. I guess he would not then have employes as many, but then he would not have shafted as many either :sneaky2:

P.S. I did not claim his talk was cheap and mine of value, I said "talk is cheap" meaning all talk, its actions that count, IMO.

erm

Actually I was:confused1:

Purely based on the few snippets I observed of how they behaved, with each other, their daughters and other people, I have never actually "followed" them per se.

And seeing as our own Gerry Adams is reckoned by quite a few outside of the NI community, as a civilized suave political gent.

I too could be quite wrong:001_rolleyes:

cheers

Anybody been watching the freak-out videos of the inauguration "protestors"? This one has gone viral - the lady has been identified as one Jessica Starr (shortly to achieve immortality as a meme). The way she looks up at the last minute, just to cheek if the camera is one her for her big freakout performance. A fraud, but maybe genuine at the same time - wallowing in the attention and self indulgence like a toddler having a tantrum. Bought and paid for by Ernst Stavro Blofeld, er, I mean George Soros. Sad. Just sad.

Debating with you is an exercise in futility. We are diametrically opposite, politically speaking and I relate to none of your views.

To embellish my early post a little, it horrifies me to see this atrocious excuse for a human being take the most powerful office on Earth. I cannot think of a western leader in the past 40 years as truly unpleasant as Trump. With more than a smidge of Schadenfruede I look forward to the next four years as he and his administration defecate on the uneducated white demographic that provided the core of the vote that got him (somehow, despite him getting nearly 3,000,000 fewer votes than Clinton) elected.

Make no mistake, the only thing that Trump represents is himself. He cares only for himself. He serves only himself. This will become painfully apparent in the coming weeks, months and years.

And what if you have made a mistake and he represents them as he promised? And is widely hailed as the best POTUS in recent history? Let's check back a week from now and see where we are then. Im betting money your Schadenfruede will evaporate before your eyes. I look forward with more than a smidgen of relish to your continuing butthurt :001_cool:

Two weeks ago Ford cancelled a new car plant in Mexico because of some tweets Trump made. The plant was half built and suddenly Ford decided to open a new car plant in America. That's a couple of thousand new jobs in America. Not a bad start for the new President.

"Uneducated white democratic"? In your last post you were accusing Trump voters of being bigots. It appears that you are the bigot.

Trump's mum came from a humble background. It's possible that he will stand up for the working man more than you think.

The West badly needs politicians that actually listen to the concerns of their electorates. I think Trump is one such politician.
