I don't see why not, the only problem might be high temperature if stall the chain regularly, lacking a chain brake means that being applied will not be a problem.

Thanks, I've brought a few new machines.. Never been able to haggle or get a discount, that was the way it is, really after to be honest 2001, due to the money laundering and terrorism act post 9/11. You can't count the new holland agri dealers as construction... Farmers always bleat they've got no money and yes they have to sit on certain stock. But if you went into a case dealership and tried to haggle I doubt you'd get far... I still know some people waiting on machines to come in a be prepped. I went in to buy a 2.7ton digger from new holland dealer new old stock as you said , ram was weeping, algae growing around the window, no warranty and a dent where they'd turned the quick hitch around and put a dent in the dipper.. Would they correct the faults or give warranty or discount nope.. That was a 3 Yr new old stock machine (kobelco). So it didn't get sold... Also when I last spoke to dealers dependant on where you are in the UK is dependant on what you pay... Example is a Hitachi digger was cheaper in Scotland than the south by 2.5k. I queried it with Hitachi... Maybe im surrounded by shite dealers (I doubt as they not be in business still!) But that's how I've found things. Also cnh group has parted ways with hyundai, now part of the devlon (doosan) group. Cnh group have now purchased a new mini digger manufacturer, that I can't remember who it was, and now they produce there mini and midi machines.

I thought toy chainsaws were the limit of their non-productive products. No idea you could get Stihl boxers or beer glasses. Or walking frames.

Except that the opportunity cost of no intervention is unknown - without the taxpayer funded bailout we may have missed an opportunity to stave off a real depression 1930s style. £10.8 billion is far less than the Conservatives recently splurged on the Energy Bills Support Scheme The Government's energy bills support schemes cost an estimated £44bn; two thirds less than originally estimated. The support prevented around 289,000 households in England from going into fuel poverty, according to estimates from the Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ).14 Nov 2024

met a guy who saw one of her shows, reckons she was pretty raunchy, he sat next to a huge Canadian bloke, she spots him head and shoulders above the rest, walks to the edge of the stage and says," my you're a big guy",, 6 foot seven ,mam he answers,, she looks him straight in the eyes and says the immortal line," come up and see me sometime" and then adds,, "we'll forget about the six foot and work on the 7 inches". place erupted.

Hi, I'm 23 and desperately trying to find a way into the industry. I've put myself through my CS30 and CS31 and looking to gain my CS38 and CS39. I was wondering if there were any trainee positions going anywhere, I've called a couple places up but have not had any luck so far. I would also be interested in doing some groundswork work purely for the experience. Thanks!

It does look like beech, but if you get a sharp really close image it will be easier to tell.

I think they quoted the name wrong . It should be " Hippy Cola Gummies " 🙂

Check Amazon. I recently picked up a triple pack of 14" Oregon 3/8p 1.3.guage 91vx I think l. For just 18 quid. So at £6 each I can't argue. Just come in a Oregon branded bag in a cardboard box of 3.

I’m a 21 tree surgeon based in north wales, and was doing perimeter clearance on a Scottish power substation in Kirby on the 29/5/25. My saw was stolen in the time of the team unloading kit and looking at the job no more than 70 meters away. The saw was purchased this January so looks fairy new and has the initial HGJ on both the handle and top casing. Just thought I would put it out on here if anyone comes across it. Cheers Harri Glyn

Plus the further into the future they are thinking of having work done, in the meantime they then have plenty of time to call every tree firm in a 40 mile radius to offer a quote , regardless of whether they’ve given you the go ahead or not. And when you’re eventually down that neck of the woods the following year, you do a drive by and the whole property resembles the aftermath of Passchendaele .

What am I doing wrong with these young trees?
Stubby replied to Justin Peer's topic in Forestry and Woodland management
Staking too high does not allow the tree to move with the wind . Moving with the wind also promotes reaction wood making the trunk stronger I have been told .
