He literally stepped out of the way then shot her brains out, I think he had enough time. If he hadnt of shot her he wouldnt have been ran over. Shooting her didnt save him from injury now did it? If not stopping for an ICE agent is justification for getting killed then the USA is a shite place to live in IMO. Besides they were telling her to get out of the way just before they told her to get out of the car. Mixed messages with people in combat gear pointing guns at you and trying to drag you out of a car will make people panic. I know that over here its a very different state of affairs but with your military training what would you have done in that situation?

Not been to the shops today, I will have a look tomorrow. If I buy her wine then its the law that I have to get beer, ive had enough of that over Christmas so its unprecedented Friday night off tonight. I will make up for it tomorrow though!

Hes only a couple meters up, tho high enough I wouldnt want to drop a saw. He bridged that last bit at the end.. when he twists, that is exactly the move that made my right knee pop out a few years back. Twisting with your legs stretched is a very bad thing to do, if you value your knees!

I would have asked them not to make the roads sooo strait . Then we could have a few corner shops .

I’m a bit confused with the old Class 1/2/3 to new C / C+E switch and all the “grandfather rights” stuff. For anyone who had an older licence (pre-1997) did your trailer/weight entitlements carry over correctly, or did DVLA downgrade anything without you noticing? And if they did were you able to challenge it and get it fixed? As DVLA keeps modernising rules (like the recent diabetes/CGM update for Group 2), I’m curious how reliable the system is for “old rights” today.

Yeah, that’s the idea really - plenty of contingency fund and eyes wide open. The thing is with older fords/trucks is it’s all there to see, no part on part on part everything is accessible and simple. Similar with the FJ, these trucks are old so of course unless they’ve been factory restored are going to have issues who buys a 40yr old truck and thinks it’s going to be a modern Volvo. Plan is either to keep it forever and touch myself when I look at it or enjoy it for however long and sell on as I’ll only put a few hundred miles on it a year.

Kind of true still, if it is too long you forget points or your eyes glaze over towards the end of reading it. If I get one that is too long then my first assumption is whoever wrote it just copied and pasted from previous examples, cover everything, without ever looking at the site or site conditions. My favourite example is specifying a hard hat to walk into a green field months before any plant is considered to start work there. Copy and paste, makes me wonder if the rest of the risk assessment is up to the job.

While I don't think many of us (?!) would really disagree with your points, I would make one exception -in the case of the tiny 18v/40v battery tree pruning saws . Such as Makita UC029G, Milwaukee M18 Fuel, etc These now offer several significant advantages over 2strokes, for climbers carrying out light pruning operations: lower weight, smaller size, lower noise, less vibrations, no repeated pull starting, cheaper, no exhaust burns, etc They also make good chipper saws, and handy to keep in the van, workshop, garden etc for odd jobs. So, after a few decades of tree-bothering experience, I'm now a convert to those 'battery toys', thanks Gabriel !!
