Oh yes -a 3D printed stiff-one, that sounds like a winner now, especially for those older climbers amongst us... Is anyone offering to model the prototype? Perhaps Kram or Alex might patent it: The Handy Stiffy Mk1 😆 Sorry, I'll get my coat now..

From the comment I remember reading, might have missed something in between the million posts you put up. BillQs comment was factually correct. BillQs comment was not expressing an opinion either way. I reckon that is another apology you owe him today. Idiot.

Kind of review for tracked wood chipper SZ130
green heart replied to covex's topic in Large equipment
Well yes, maybe its crap when compared to a bigger tracked 6'' Forst/Jensen/Timber wolf/Greenmech etc However -it's smaller, lighter, suitable for those awkward little 'back garden' type jobs -and significantly, it costs a fraction of the others listed.. I don't suppose it'll last 25 years like my current Cramer and Timber wolf, but hey, horses for courses ! -
Excess number of biner holes and detachable swivels. No. Too much fannying shite. No. Midline attachable and simply just works for SRT and DRT without compromise. Yes. We don't need loads of competing whizzbang bling. We need one thing that just works.

Not had any issues of them getting stuck, mostly pull them from the ground unless its a tight union. The steel ringed saver needs a bit of thought before pulling as it would hurt.

Dangerous Trees on "Unclaimed" Land (Scotland)
Dan Maynard replied to BofA.Trees's topic in Trees and the Law
My opinion is you can't make a proper assessment from photos, you need someone qualified to have a look and write a report. Some opinions off the internet won't sway the council anyway.- 1 reply

Nuisance Trees Owned by the Council
Tree monkey 1682 replied to Blondie31's topic in Trees and the Law
Don't buy a house next to established trees, you know they will do naff all ,council normally have a view that you brought the house knowing the tree was there before you brought it. Or that's atleast the view down south.recently I put in to remove three trees with ash dieback back only for the paperwork to be refused . Yet the trees are in a public place with ,other issues like weak limbs and bark damage and poor pruning. And that got declined -
Looking for a reliable tree worker for occasional quality domestic tree jobs. Must have own full climbing kit but will be predominantly on the ground. Will be some climbing opportunities. Own saws preferred. Must have basic rigging skills. Evidence of previous work essential. Need at least cs30/31/38. Efaw or preferably efaw+f. Good rates paid for a good cutter. Msg me and we can arrange a chat. 07398958616

OK. ffs the price has gone up in the past two years. this is what I have and I would recommend it. Mityvac Silverline Vac/Pres Metal Pump Kit MV8500 646541004116 | eBay UK WWW.EBAY.CO.UK All images shown are for illustration purpose only. Silverline Vac/Pres Metal Pump Kit. just make sure you get one that does vacuum as well as pressure. Mityvac do a similar pressure only tester that I bought by accident first time round.

Very pretty but as far as I can see it is a complicated/expensive way to save a small amount of time.

I got fed up after both a Husqvarna and an Oregon one failed and leaked. I now just use an 5L aspen can filled with pump fuel and a 5L oregon chain oil can. Both pour really well without a funnel if you keep them at about 3/4 full. But I'm normally never far from a vehicle.

Morning all, Drizzle just now but 15 degrees and sunny forecast. Crazy. Side pruning some conifers today.

Ahh, that might explain it.

Yeah, that was what I concluded. Though I had them in a dim unheated garage I think, maybe if they were in a bright, warm conservatory or something they'd do better. No need to buy more seeds, just use some from last year's chillies. They're always viable. Dead easy, especially if your drying them out anyway.

Looking for insurance for our log business machinery and public liability who is using who ?????

Yes and yes, although the hinge quality on most Ash trees particularly the larger ones are unaffected by Ash dieback. Another tree served notice on by the highways. Set back 5m from the road edge with relatively lol usage and hardly declining. No way did it warrant removal let alone 28 day notice from highways. Very poor judgement. Sadly I was just the hired gun to kill it for another company. I'm awaiting a job direct for myself where I can offer to appeal the notice. Its all to common the highways are serving notice on trees that would be deemed tolerable risk if using QTRA which I know they use. So appealing it should be fairly straight forward.

This is the big turntable machine isn’t it? Couple of peeps on here have them. I may be wrong but I heard TW stopped supporting the machine. So you may have to get engineery with spare parts. Got any pictures?
