  2. Hello, I need advice here. I have a birch tree in my front yard. I was thinking about removing this birch tree that is about 40 years old. I plan on having an arborist look at it soon. It is about 15 feet away from my foundation. I believe it is right above a main sewer line in my basement. Are there any risks to getting this removed? I worry about a sinkhole as well? Anything I should be cautious about?
  3. Would a ton bundle fit in the boot of an estate car? And is it all barky, or is there a reasonable amount of solid wood? Would it be lots of conifer, or mixed all sorts? Thanks

  5. They are parasites Dan. The sooner the public realise this the better.
  6. Yes, bacterial canker. Interesting to see shot from further back - those shots have epicormic sprouting which is not quite normal in healthy hc. Keep watching, can be slow decline and eventually canopy starts dying back - have removed a couple in our village with this.
  7. Crowdfunder for the Waxy Lemon's 'legal fees', incoming. He's probably on license from jail still.
  8. Walked passed these while shutting a gate by a farm. Not something you see very often, I did wonder about making a bid.... yonks ago, Denn8ngs of Chard used to fit surplus Spitfire and Hurricane wheels to their mobile saw benches.
  9. Does anyone know where I can get ibc crates from in the south West? Looking to buy in bulk but can take smaller loads
  10. Yes but most parks will not be registered common land and neither is CRoW access land. Often common land is also covered by local byelaws, mind I am not aware of a byelaw covering climbing trees, free climbing was a boyhood activity on the common here.
  11. Potato crates? They have small gaps to allow airflow but still keep the wood in, would depend if you had a method of moving them once full
  12. Very nice. Wish my body was 20 years younger still! Used to enjoy that stuff.

  16. Mate of mine is thinking of buying this box to live in, and he's asked me to do the conversion. Am I right in thinking I could cut through the bulkhead into the box to create access from cab to living area? My thinking is it would be fine as the bulkhead and box aren't structural. 17. Ive heard the Sherpas and ASs are good. The Grillo looks like an Iseki, maybe the Grillo is a knock off. Ive just managed to raise the deck a bit on the Grillo, by moving a 'shut off' so the blades can turn in the travel position. The highest standard height setting was 90cm, which was too high and I was hitting too much and digging into the soil.
  18. For Starmer and VDL it was an utter embarrassment. I guess Trump must have enjoyed his time there as they all came to kiss the orange arse, sweet revenge considering he was laughed at and mocked by the EU/ German elite a few years ago when he warned about reliance on Russian energy and lack of NATO spending. Who’s laughing now 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  19. I love how this has gone from weird stuff found in a tree, to looking at cool old gats. keep it up lads!😍
  20. how about a nice patio,,
  21. We have tried exporting stuff without a COC in the past. It isn't a goer. The only official way is to fit the chipper onto a trailer with COC.

  26. Really great to see the arb community rallying behind Andy’s Man Club. Mental health often gets overlooked in physical trades, even though the pressure can be intense. Raising awareness and funds through something so community-driven makes a real difference. I hope more events like this pop up—it’s a reminder we’re stronger when we talk and support each other openly.
  27. I did write a police report but then I thought I needed a strong positive mind and if it did grow back not have any negativity surrounding the tree. No you are right though. If you saw my previous post when it happened I was not that calm about it 👍👍 to say the least. Alls good. I sit next it and have a beer or 2.😁
