  2. Hi! I would like to understand whether I need to remove or reduce two trees close to my house. Some cracks have appeared in the wall, so my concern is they are caused by the trees in some way. Tree 1: ornamental cherry around 8m tall and never been pruned. Tree 2: a palm tree of some type around 3m tall. Is there any way to assess what needs to be done / any understanding of whether these trees could be an issue to the house structure? It's a 1930s semi detached in the south west Thanks Ben
  3. I still have in the shed a ryobi petrol sds drill just can’t bear to scrap it made before Ryobi was sold by the japs to the Koreans or is it the other way round
  4. The Stihl 3670-71PM3 Mini and the Panther 1/4-043 Mini chains seem to lift as they go round the nose - so on the Sugi bars you have to use the Sugi chains which is not ideal. Why is this? For no good reason I could find out as it doesn't make sense to have bars that only run one option of chain as it means that people can't run what they want to run... also the Sugi drive links differenciate from Stihl so Stihl is 56/10" 64/12" 72/14" which is great as even number of left and right cutters. Sugi is 60/10" 68"/12" 76/14" And a last downside is - Sugi only make the 1/4 .043 bars in the Echo mount. Other than that they are a better bar than the Panther Mini bars currently are. But no 10" in stock for a few months at least Sugihara Mini Type bars - Chainsawbars WWW.CHAINSAWBARS.CO.UK
  5. Was the roller clamping them down or was it rattling around like a penny in a tin can ?. Obviously a picture would be good, but I've had slivers on a TP machine when the counter blades in the feed aren't tight enough against the blades, so it wittles instead of slices.
  6. Yep agreed they need to be better - we still do the Stihl bars though - I prob need to put kits up on the website to make it easier to buy for the Echo 2511 - you can run the 10"/12"/14" Stihl 1/4 .043 bars and as you said add an extra drive link and this allows it to fit to the Echo 2511 and oil correctly.
  7. We had to move to a new manufacturer for the Panther Mini and sadly the quality became inconsistent - we've now got Tsumura making these for us and the first batch should be ready in around 10 weeks or so. The principle of the bars is great ie - you can run 1/4 .043 mini chains on pretty much any small chainsaw. But that's no use if the actual product does not last... we'll be doing a good deal on remaining bars to clear them.
  8. Prolly, and with a round anvil as well. Lift the cover and take a pic for us.
  9. Hired a chipper for the weekend. was hoping to make use of the chip but wtf? Looks like a crows nest. Wood was fresh cut apple rootstocks that had got too big. So 3-4” at the base. My sons small petrol chipper did a much better job but slower and had to trim the bottom tee foot off.
  10. I’ll send a message. Still works for me.
  11. Hi everyone. The Masterblaster forum doesn't let me in, doesn't reply on "contact us". Anyone experienced it or other type of problems with it? Can someone that is there help me? Cheers

  14. @eggsarascal you used to work with a tarmac gang in your youth didn’t you? Question. How come on some stretches of road/motorway there’s sections with loads of random black lines of tar, like a toddlers scribble all over? I can’t see how it’s filling in cracks, they’re too random. All over the carriage way, then, nothing clean as as a whistle.

2020 Sherpa Agri Mini Skid Steer. Excellent condition, well maintained, with very little use. The machine comes with a large bucket, a hydraulic log grab and a set of wide and narrow track wheels. The tyres on the wide track wheels are around half worn, and the narrow track wheels are pretty much brand new, only been used once for a couple of hours. 1100mm wide with the wide wheels and 750mm with the narrow. Only selling due to needing a larger machine. Happy to reduce the price by £1,500 without the log grab. Please let me know if you any questions. No VAT.

  16. Its the standard Chinese engine used on post knockers, petrol drills etc. Thing is, it fills a niche for odd products like this at a sensible price. No mainstream manufacture really makes petrol SDS drills, for example.
  17. Make and model looks a bit Chinese

  19. Thanks for the replies. Now that I've replaced all the parts from the pump right out to the clutch I've had no problems. The new pump is the white plastic one, the original was the black version. I have only used neat rapeseed oil in this saw since new and the first worm drive only went last July, after about 8 years of use. The saw gets used quite frequently but there may be a month or two of little use occasionally. The original black pump was a bit gummed up, but I did clean it fully and was turning freely a while ago but still I had the worm gear issue after that. All parts are correct according to manual and OEM including the correct clutch drum with the lugs to spin the worm drive. There is one other factor that may have actually been the culprit; for a while I was using sunflower oil, not rapeseed oil and I wonder if this oil behaves differently when hot? I won't be using sunflower ever again just in case...
  20. That what you shouted to the rowing neighbours last night Pete! Morning all.
  21. I was really stumped after line 2, so line 3 was a sacrificial offering. A random word to try and find some more letters in desperation. It worked, and then the T came to me in line 4.
  22. Going to mention this 9" petrol angry grinder recently purchased, makes all the battery gear look very limp.Ideal for flail sharpening, swap to a thin disc and its the nuts for cutting metal or crap out of the mulcher. Handy thing to keep in the van, tank will need a bit more protection but other than that its been brilliant.
