  2. Why does that grease have a seal pic on tin but now you say it does not contain rendered clubbed seals that's false advertising!
  3. Evening all. I am no electrician but for the love of me i cant seem to have the light cable for the chipper last more than a moth or so before coming apart internally and not working! The wires all end up ripping off from the connectors (where screwed in). This is on the truck end. The chipper end never comes off but that seems to be always loose and also creates a bad connection. added together its a real pain in the ass! Has anybody come up with a better solution? Anyone run the wireless ones? or any advice/ products that last? Many thanks
  4. Nice work Jose. How did you split the bigger cord for the chipper? Surely you didn’t rip everything with saws?
  5. btw was 8m circumference in the end at the base. That last lump in the top picture 9T in weight, last pic 5T lump.
  6. its a bit hidden but under the first picture is a time-lapse video. Those chippers are amazing! and so quiet too!
  7. It’s awesome wood, specially if you’re lucky enough to find dead standing timber
  8. Just a update. I got Richard Hall in for this and we chipped the whole tree! All chip will be reused on site. There was at least 40Ton of timber. Felled and chipped in a day (didnt start until nearly 10!). Appreciate the help though guys. IMG_7700.MOV
  9. The only thing I've found that's proof against a Silky is some kind of chain mail meat workers outfit, effective but not very practical for spending a day up a line of outsized Leylandi......
  10. ground worker available with knowledge of dismantles , site clearances and running jobs looking for extra days working Alongside others in Scottish Borders Also available arb tipper loader with grab

    Yew Wood

Yew know 🙂 I don't think I have ever burnt it , despite living next door to the biggest block of ancient yew forest in Europe .
  13. Brings witches into the house, which can be a bit of a bother.
  14. Good firewood, but can pop/spit , if not careful. Easy to split
  15. Is it that a chipper disc requires a lot of torque to get moving and some PTOs are too weak?
  16. Any efco saw listed for sale in the uk will be very old stock. Efco ceased to be a brand in the uk well over 5 years ago. The sister brand ...oleo-mac are the only current products sold within the uk now, and as most efco and oleo-mac products were near identical, the parent company in a cost saving exercise couldnt see any good reason offering an identical product, just in a different coloured plastic in the same market. Therefore....avoid any 'brand new' efco products that are still for sale in the uk market unless you want at least a 5 year old saw before youve even used it! All manufacturing dates are clearly marked on a white sticker next to the serial number, so if in doubt ask the seller the year of manufacture. Just worth noting.
  17. That's going to be an art in getting that to start spinning. I know the trouble I have getting my GreenMech going.

2012 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter – NO MOT 137,604 Miles collection from London. Selling my Mitsubishi Fuso Canter as it has recently failed its MOT. Please check the photos for full details of the failure points. The truck also has an engine fault related to the EGR system. I’ve been quoted around £2,000 for the repair work, and with the ongoing ULEZ charges it’s no longer viable for me to keep it. It feels like a real shame to scrap it, as someone with better mechanical knowledge than me could turn this into a great project or a bargain work truck. Ideal for: Mechanics looking for a project Spares or repairs Anyone wanting a solid truck at a low price open to offers. thanks!!

    Yew Wood

Its slow growing and dense, so lots of energy per volume. Its a great firewood once dry. However to your question, it doesn't split or dry quickly.

  25. Great. Personally having used a few pro battery saws, I don't find them equivalent in power to a 50cc petrol saw, in spite of the fact this is what they claim.
