Every November, the people who run the firework night near me have the fhucking gall to put a card through my letterbox to display in my vehicle, purportedly granting me permission on the night of the event to drive along the road I own and park at the house I own. I've chased the bloke down the street to give them back before and I've several times made a point of going out in the van to calmly waft past their signs and security people. Did it twice once. Have they bollocks got a traffic regulation order.

Fawcett Down would have been just as funny and not appalled at least 51% of the client base. Like Pete's daily three words from the paper, you have to sound it out.

News is going about the Balmers GM, the John Deere and Timberwolf dealer for Lancashire and West Yorkshire has called time on their John Deere offerings with a notice period to serve out. I've known of them for about 20 years, good bunch but dealing with JD is hard work. The now got Ransome Jacobson mowers, Polaris etc and looking for a tractor dealership too. Good luck and best wishes going forwards to them! It hurt when they dropped GreenMech for Timberwolf but I've remained friends with them!

You're not going to climb onto a turbine in that! Having a ticket in anything shows you passed the course on the day. Gan canny Aquaman.

Net zero is a load of crap, climate change is not. Government getting rid of all industry and then announcing their carbon credentials and then condemning the countries to which they have framed out the industry. It's an absolute shiteburg. Real action will not be popular and it is surprising that labour have reeled back on where the conservatives were. I thought the conservatives were a load of toss then steps up sir kier starmer- what a guy. Bring back Corbyn I say.

Used to have my level 1 mark, needed it as a lot of firms used to do topside and subsea work/ inspection packages. Having the ticket is no guarantee of work, AIS/3T are probably the ones doing best out of it. Weather days are great, always a moral booster. Mind you it can get a bit tiresome after a few days. That’s worst I’ve been out in. IMG_2581.mp4

If the whole net 0 thing is bollocks, which it might well be, why not milk it for what you can. A wise man once told me to make hay while the sun shines. Blade repair is an excellent gig.

No that’s how you interpret any form of logic in relation to our energy, the current situation benefits everyone apart from the UK consumer, you have zero experience of either industry whereas Ive worked in both for years. The reality of how we are going about things at the min is pure madness. Somewhat like your own situation with coal ( I see you ignored yet another question) you are happy to burn imported coal but oppose having our own mines. I’d presume someone in your family runs a car that has oil in it somewhere, you are again happy to use imported products but support shutting our own sector down. Pure hypocrisy quite frankly.

It was a very rapey name. The pub was "the fawcett inn" and they had their own cider... I know it was 20 years ago but still.

Double drive with plenty of space for large loads. Accepting clean logs/cord and clean woodchip. Hardwood preferred, but Scots pine, cedar and larch also fine. Happy to compensate depending on the load + a cold beer! Available 7 days a week - please call to arrange. Wood is for processing and domestic burning, so manageable sizes / sectioned cuts are much appreciated. No leylandii, treated timber, fencing, or contaminated loads please. James

Because we can all read and some of us have read the relentless posts on here slating 'green' energy such as wind turbines, maybe it was you that said you were against wind turbines? Perhaps.
-
Force-it-inn? Bit rapey perhaps..

Anyone who heeds those signs and turns around is a coward. Risk it all and if you're wrong you unhitch the chipper and turn around with your pride intact. Same as those pointless temporary lights when there's nothing to avoid. Most of the time they don't have planning permission anyway. Fair game.

I'm also self-employed. It's usually a good idea to hedge your bets. When you go on holiday do you get a snorkel, or have you lost your Aquaman vibe altogether due to it being work?
