  1. Past hour
  2. Probably pissardii becasue the book says that's a common British Isles variant. There's a nigra and probably some others but if you hear hooves, it's probably horses. And yes, doesn't it look perfectly horrible to work on. Client wants it more shapely and it's getting towards the house, casting shadow and stuff on driveway. The stuff I read made me think it would take an amenity style drop crotch prune (as opposed to any weirder, fruit-specific strategy) without going off its tits with end regrowth and the guy isn't demanding strong butchery. I can see me spending a whole day dicing with death on sketchy ladder setups to do it nicely though. No tie in point, whole inside of the tree like the chokey from Matilda. I also wasn't desperately polite to his neighbour, whose driveway I'll need to be in for some of it. That was a shrewd move. I'd like to picker or crane dangle for it but too much faff (steep driveways and blocking pavement and/or driveways seems excessive). Freelance climbers in the North East with big tripod/A-frame ladders and leather welding sleeves get in touch please.
  3. What about one of these, seen one being used. Designed for the kind of size wheels you're talking about, from 4" to 13" I think. TC811B Redwing Pneumatic/Manual Tyre Changer WWW.REDSTONEUK.COM The TC811B is also a new design of an existing concept. With previously manufactured machines, the height below the bead breaker is... Don't know price mind you.
  4. Shouldn't be shooting, full F stop! It's a heart shot not chest shot! 2" low and you will have a runner that will go a long distance 2" to the rear the same! 2"....2" how far away are you shooting? Or you miss way over the top! Now lets talk about reds, a bit different to roe, or muntjac (never shot one but hold on!), etc. Big heads small heads? So does the 2" work for them? How about a big red stag on the rut? This time of year we had the full Jurassic park with the stags roaring at the top of their lungs telling the young guns to keep away and calling in the hinds. I've hit them square through the heart and seen them drop like a stone. Get up minutes later and walk towards them and they can get up and run 00's of metres... average dog 😆 gi yersel peace ya whallaper! Yeah why did you even try? Get a room you guys. You wouldn't know a fact if it walked up to you and shook hands and introduced itself. Waddaya want, pics of dead deer? See above. Like I said, over the years 2 headshots on deer, the other xxx were heart, a few (4 iirc) runners, non lost. It's not prowess it's cutting out the variables, hand loads, range time, range finders, sound mods, high seats, hours watching deer, knowledge of the ground, weather watching, ballistics, follow through, trigger sear, parallax error, etc etc "Gunshot wound, ballistic and medical experts on an arb forum. Who would have thought it. Not one of which I’d imagine has ever had the chance to hear the buzz or crack of a bullet pass by at close range." You're the one that started the whole thing and when confronted with a different opinion you go back to abuse and diversion, just try and understand that there may be an opinion different from yours. I've heard bullets pass by and even land close by, but you don't seem to want to admit that you could be wrong.
  5. How secure is the yard? As in is their someone on site at night etc. and cameras, alarms, security fences etc.? If it’s just a container in a remote location I’d be extremely worried. Containers aren’t particularly secure to professional scum who have gas axes etc.
  6. Seems like the knives are out already:
  7. The police didn't even bother to call the poor bloke back, let alone send an officer out.
  8. sime42

    Jokes???

    Spot the errors.
  9. Bastard immigrants will have nicked it, obviously.
  10. sime42

    Jokes???

  11. Today
  12. A sad and shameful story reflecting Broken Britain. Why on earth do immigrants want to come to this shit hole? We're less civilised than where they've come from in some ways. Man on 'dream' round-the-world trip has bike stolen while travelling in the UK WWW.BBC.CO.UK Yogesh Alekari was 15,000 miles into his challenge when his motorbike was stolen in Nottingham.
  13. Yeah , its one of my dreams for when I get too old to lift stuff, that'll probably never happen. Bought a loader instead.
  14. ... and like all rules, there are exceptions.... We've got topped limes in the churchyard which have dropped bits, but yes I guess once they get to a certain size they do knit in.
  15. My 2p is whatever security you're thinking of, get on and do it. Had one trailer nicked while the security wheel lock was on order, that's particularly galling. I wouldn't keep a chipper outside, you need to avoid making things a target and not visible is the first step.
  16. Why's that? I've had some get crap in so difficult to open, otherwise they are reasonably secure?
  17. But that is a pertinent point.. likewise those making the most noise about asylum seekers on this forum live a long long way away from where they are housed, and form their opinions as far as I can tell from Farage, the Daily Mail, Linkedin and twatter, rather than going to find out what is happening in reality. It is the singular headlines that are reported here to try to alter opinions and never the complete picture... and those singular headlines are reported from a press with an agenda, with owners who have an agenda )and the agenda is usually make the press owners another billion).
  18. It might well be. I'll lend you a clipboard if you want to come over here and find out for yourself.
  19. Well... 50 prominent woman, none of whom will live anywhere near any asylum hotels are only in that article to boost their own profiles. Be interesting to hear from 50 woman local to the hotels ,no?
  20. Those who can't do...
  21. Perhaps not, but it's a salient point. The right-wing tend to use "fear for our women & kids" as justification for their actions. That's a fact.
  22. Diane Abbot has to be the safest out of the lot.
  23. Theres a guy around ours that uses a Fiat Doblo tipper, looks ok
  24. Cherry plum....worst trees to work on imo
  25. I bought the varcol 150 @£34, around the time kram spoke of it, I'v used it so far in 9 different saws, of all ages and brands and it's performed flawlessly in all of them.
  26. You tell em prominent Woman! That'll show em. "Signatories include the musicians Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church and Anoushka Shankar as well as Labour, Green and independent MPs including Kim Johnson, Ellie Chowns, Diane Abbott and Zarah Sultana." Hardly a comprehensive list of grass roots Woman by any means.
