  2. they're tabling
  3. This is something that matters to me, we've got trailed Bandit 75 atm and the build strength is next level compared to Forst and TW etc. Means that machine feeding it with the digger is no problem. I'd love a tracked 12xp Bandit but they're simply too big for a lot of the canal and wetland sites we work on (footpaths, tow paths etc) TP look nice
  4. Battery post?
  5. Wheel nuts?
  6. Yeah, I’m definitely not contemplating sticking a smaller chain in a wider bar, but from what you’ve said (if I understand correctly) if the drive sprocket size is correct, and the bar and chain match, it’s all good, right?
  7. The bar, chain and sprocket (spur or rim) must all match. A narrower drive link will draw through a wider channel but it can catch on the walls and it's not something I would recommend.
  8. Don’t do that. Some future owner will need to replace them at some point and order the parts (imperial) from Bandit. Best case, they don’t fit and he has to twat around working out why. Worst case, he guns them in and buggers the threads again. The US deserved 9/11 and deserves all the rest for subjecting the world to the ongoing arseache of imperial threads. BIPM should invade them if they won’t give them up. Quiz: There’s one imperial threaded joint in every car. What joint is it?
  9. Its bizarre. In their heads they must believe their tabling a solid argument.
  10. No kidding Andy. Not even 6th form debate level garbage. SP/TA is the one needing a mental health evaluation.
  11. Apart from a classic defender holds its value
  12. Used to be able to do all manner of weird bar and chain combos ,until oregon hovered up alot of the brands . Main things the sprocket. Id have liked to put 0.43 on one of my saws but not sure if thats even possible!

  15. Hello peeps, Now I’ve changed my bar & chain combo a few times to go longer and shorter, no issues. What I am curious about is whether I can fit a slightly different GAUGE bar & chain if the drive sprocket size matches the saw? For example can a 3/8 0.050 (1.3mm) bar and chain be swapped out for a 3/8 0.043 (1.1mm) bar & chain without issues? My mind tells me it should all work and would just require the bar stud nuts to come further down the threads to snug up the 0.2mm thinner bar. Am I missing something? 🤷‍♂️
  16. yes, very much so
  17. would oak look like this once split?
  18. it’d be great if you could put up some pictures and a review of it
  19. The auto idle function is brilliant. No need to stock pile, just post it in, and the chipper revs down 20 seconds later. Galvanized chassis as well.
  20. Not sure if this is any help, but the 4510 only came with a choice of 16" (66 links) or 18" (72 links) bars from factory. Both using .325" x 0.50" chain. Efco (emak) part number for the 18" bar is 50230059R, and the 16" bar is 50062014R.
  21. Technically yes I suppose, I’ll have a look later and see how easy getting the top part of the slew off.
  22. Poor Tommeh! Fundraiser incoming....
  23. Friday was a hedge day in Essé South of Rennes. We rucked up to this council horror surrounding our work site. Luckily no judgemental competitors drove past to add 2+2 and make 5 I lost count after 20 and there are still dozens more Liquid Amber street trees that are yet to receive the same treatment, breaks my heart that some councils haven't moved with the times. It wouldn't cost the council very much to let an experienced arborist just do the cutting whilst they cleared up something I already do this for one commune already equipped with a chipper.
