  1. Past hour
  2. As they say in Crypto. HODL.
  3. A one dog ground clearance machine in the making - I expect to see him on arbtalk touting for work sometime soon. He doesn't seem half as stupid as you've led us to believe in the past. 😁
  4. I can’t pay for my hookers and coke with chip and pin either.
  5. I am not talking about fantasy newspaper headlines and their bullshit predictions. I am talking about actual behaviour, banning your best friends from family BBQ’s because they didn’t have the jab, and such like. The Government cancelling Christmas with a few days notice, whilst partying behind closed doors, and people going along with it. I have lost all faith in people making a stand in the UK.
  6. What we are living through currently is phase two of Blairs great plan, if you didn't like the first phase, you certainly ain't gonna like phase two,, wait until phase three is forced upon us. Euan Blair ,that is Tony Blairs son ,is part of Britcard ,worth to him 375 million alone ,it's been in making for many years. Basically, as soon as cash is removed from mainstream use,you will be at the mercy of Britcard ,designed by Euan Blair ,therefore it is possible to debank you completely, you will have nothing How many government / civil service / public sector data leaks have there been in the last 5 years 2025 MoD Afghan Relocations Data Breach (2022 leak revealed in 2025) A spreadsheet in 2022 containing the personal information of ~18,700 Afghans who applied under the ARAP (Afghan Relocations & Assistance Policy) was accidentally sent by MoD outside secure system. The leak affected names, contact details, and some family info. Estimated 80,000-100,000 people (including family members) possibly at risk. There was a superinjunction to block reporting until 2025. 2024 PSNI Data Breach (Police Service of Northern Ireland) A spreadsheet released as part of a Freedom of Information request included a “hidden” tab with surnames, initials, rank, role, and other details of all 9,483 PSNI officers and staff. The ICO fined PSNI £750,000 for this breach. This was called an “egregious breach” because of exposure risk to dissident republicans etc. 2023-2024 Information Security Review by the Government After multiple accidental data breaches in the public sector, including the Afghan leak and others, the Cabinet Office published a review in 2023 to try to improve procedures. 2021-2022 Electoral Commission cyber-attack & data breach In 2021-22 the Electoral Commission was hacked; reference copies of the electoral registers (names and addresses of 40 million UK voters) were accessed. 2021 MoD ARAP email error (smaller leak) An earlier breach where a mass email was sent to 245 people under the ARAP scheme, exposing details of interpreters fleeing Afghanistan. A smaller but serious breach.
  7. Its probably recovered to where it would have been had he not done that . Its just at the time it was a bit of a blow 🙂
  8. Today
  9. +1 for a hitchclimber. Some people even prefer it to a zigzag! Also a good affordable stepping stone to SRT when you're ready with the addition of a rope wrench or similar. Watch the Hitchclimbers Guide to the Canopy
  10. Loads of benefits beyond functionality to paying a little extra for manufactured, sewn e2e hitch cord, not least that hand tied e2e aren't CE marked and there's issues with traceability.
  11. Quick, proper question, in the UK which verifiable ID is mandated? A passport: My choice to have one or not A drivers license: My choice to have one or not, likewise my choice to upgrade to a photo card NI Card: Not a form of ID in the sense being talked about - one NI Card can be used by multiple people Travel pass (bus, train...): My choice to have one or not Smart phone: My choice to have one or not ... I could go on. None of the above are mandated, in the forum we might or might not all have one or more of the above.
  12. I do Mick at every opportunity , I’ve stopped using several venues who are card only. Kids and Apple Pay are the ones who need convincing. I try every day with my bunch.
  13. “How will it work” that’s not a barrier or an incorrect statement it’s called a question !!. Admittedly I know you and a couple of others tend to struggle big time when asked such inconsiderate things. Anyway it looks like you are genuinely “ that naive” if you think digital identity will do anything for illegal immigration. Quite surprising seeing as you claim to be an FAC holder, anyone who has spent years jumping through the ever moving hoops will know fine well in any cases the only ones effected by onerous regulations are the law abiding citizens whom already play by the rules. An incorrect statement, like the question about me asking where I requested personal information you will write a book rather than just give a straight answer. How is that coming along by the way.
  14. If you are really interested in stopping the gubmint from controlling and monitoring your life then it’s not id cards you need to worry about, they de facto exist anyway, it’s cash. Use it whenever possible, make sure shops realise they need to keep taking it oryou will go to ones that do. Without cash they can track you and shut you down remotely at the press of a button for wrongthink.
  15. Never known a clairvoyant & physic to ask a forum for advice. Saying that getting advice from the ghosts of dead arborists doesn’t make much sense as they clearly fell to their death on dodgy friction cord. As you were Clinton.
  16. Enough, Herr Bolam. For you, ze war is over.
  17. I really need to learn more about investing. I have no clue. Funnily enough Ive just started a SIPP as Im not giving HMRC a damn penny of my income. Anything that HMRC wants off of me at the end of the tax year will go into my SIPP and I'll owe HMRC zilch. But the best thing is I'll get the Government to pay me 20% of what I put in there. I was banging in 10% of my salary in 2019-2021 into my companies stock. I get it at the cheapest price point over the 6 month period meaning in 2020 I got 6 months of stock for under $5 a share. By May 2022 they had increased tenfold to $41.00. The company stock scheme is not so good now. Its over 3 months now and not 6. I'm better off investing in my SIPP, getting my free government 20% then investing that way once Ive figured it out. The greed of the Labour and SNP has gone from me "contributing" to HMRC as it was easy and laziness on my part to just pay when my self assessment was due to actively finding a legal way to contribute nothing and get a chunk of someone elses tax to boot. Ask @Johnsond and he'll tell you a similar story in his field. Many are dropping out of paying the high rate of tax one way or another. Another own goal from the Commie Pinko's.
  18. I certainly did! And Warlord!
  19. When things start to go wrong. I'm a bit slow today. Wordle 1,561 5/6* ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  20. I remember talking with you on here about investments in March or April 2020 - just after oil had hit negative $40! I had bought some Royal Dutch Shell for my ISA, but then bottled it and swapped it into BT - you said 'that kinda sucks' and were obviously much more of an optimist than me. the two charts of RDSA and BT are below also, at the time RR was bombed out due to aviation stopped. You said about employer shares at the time - I remember you doing some tech job for an oil services firm, those pandemic shares must have gone up fourfold. Totally jealous valuations seem stretched to me now, most of my ISA is in 30 year gilts yielding about 5.4%, never gonna get rich staying out of the market, but there hasn't been a crash since the pandemic. Would be good for me if there was a crash on Trump's watch, while I'm all bonds. (so they cut rates to the floor and bond prices go up) Here's hoping for the biggest crash of all time
  21. You obviously didn't read commando comics Mark! Wordle 1,561 3/6 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  22. That's personal preference mate, Sewn e2e orient a lot nicer with a lot of configurations. If you're using a rope wrench with a double leg tether you'll struggle to fit 2 fisherman's onto a carabiner. Tied correctly, there's next to no sitback. You need to properly dress and set the hitch to get it to perform. I'm running it with a Freexion device (same concept as the wrench) and I'll choose that most times over the rope runner.
  23. Well I’m not going to get one. I will just use my brother’s.
