  2. I believe my ex boss, had a rb 4x4 with arial platform on ,slow, noisey, wide, top heavy and crap ...dont know what it was ever meant to be poor man's mog or landrover ?
  3. I can only relate my experience. Ran a TW150 for years, went to an ST8 2016ish, nothing but breakdown after breakdown, went back to TW (230) and have had next to no bother. Things may have changed, they may well have ironed out the issues. Other’s experience may contradict mine.
  4. Seen some videos on the news channels of this, looks like there was no escape, but also how quickly the fire spread surprised me - not the fumes and smoke which is the usual killer but the flames shot across the ceiling. Like a lot of tragedies like this, a combination of factors and failings added together to magnify the problems.
  5. Hi guys. I am currently looking at purchasing a new chipper but unsure on who to go with forst or Timberwolf. I have always used Timberwolf’s however I recently hired a forst st6D and I did like it. What’s everyone’s experience with Först thanks Corey

    Jokes???

Exactly . No different to Dave Allen taking the piss out of catholic priests.
  8. Good morning Arbtalkers 😊 What a cracking day it is .....
  9. Nice John. Couldn’t help but chuckle at the supplier name. Flails Direct. Original!
  10. Page on FB matador HQ they seem to have them coming and going all the time and making new cabs. The local matador used to belong to a forester who died at work. The current owner went and retrieved it from the woods and drove it home, purchasing it from the family. The cab was in bad shape when it was purchased but a new ash frame had been purchased but the now owner never managed to locate it.
  11. I know a guy in Suffolk who restores them, on the off chance anyone is in need.
  12. Islam isn't a race. Go live in a blood-thirsty death cult land since you're so enamored.
  13. I didn’t want fixed tooth was my main requirement, other than that it was the right money at a dealer reasonably local to me. Always a bit of a gamble buying 2nd hand flails/mulchers but thankfully all this need was a new set of flails which cost me £400 from flails direct. I payed £4750 plus vat for it which is about a 3rd of the cost of a new one

  16. Did you have any specific requirements for the flail, or was it what was available at the time of purchase. I'm going down a rabbit hole of confusion trying to decide which one to buy.

  18. The tea has arrived. Grandsons birthday tomorrow and evri have screwed up the delivery so off to the city today to buy the present I've ordered! Own, Lever, Low, Nelly.
  19. A guy near me has a matador laid up in a shed, the cab has had it, new ones are available but think a lottery win would be required, he said he was going to do it up when he retires. He is out every day of the week in his valtra hauling timber and delivering logs, I do not think he is going to retire. Need to put in some ground work see if i can get it. Looks mega, well if it was running and working.

  24. And may the cafe be open Doug
  25. Cheers Buddy. Been saving these next 2 jobs for a few weeks. One is Reigate 15 mins away Bigger one is Redhill 25 mins. All via the back lanes I know very well. Barring an Historic snowfall, I'm in easy street for the next couple of weeks. You take care and enjoy your break. Thanks
  26. Guten Morgen, more hedge laying today, probably the most pleasant hedge I have encountered so far at this farm. Last year's effort was roadside with three fences within it, spent more time on the wire snips!
  27. Morning all, Taking our eldest to Manchester airport then home for breakfast. Our other two leave later this morning, so then then it's just two old goats (me an er) left. Lovely to see them all, now roll on Monday. Spot the grumpy old man syndrome.
