  1. Past hour
  2. I don't watch south park but I can't imagine its a balanced place to base your opinion of anyone on. Everyone has a political view, but to invite anyone to come and debate that with you in front of 1000's of people rather than just air it behind a keyboard is something very very few people would have the courage to do. 'He was never flustered, he never had to raise his voice to be heard or shout over someone. He had a quiet determination to spread his message while giving others the opportunity to come and counter his views with their own and talk about it. He'd often quieten the crowd who heckled the person at the mike even though they had opposing opinion to him, acting to make sure he didn’t promote ridicule or humiliation, but a genuine will to try and understand their point of view. He was silenced by someone who didn't have the intelligence to stand up and debate him' (this paragraph I copied from another post, but think its so true). Its certainly a sad day for America. Very enlightening to watch his opinions on Great Britain, this is someone who didn't go to university, travelling halfway across the world to Oxford University to debate, and it seems understanding the underlying issues of Britain today better than those in power (on both sides);
  3. Giant Red Wood bark resits burning . Birch bark makes great fire lighters . So, depends on the species .
  4. Today

  6. I bet it reeks of perming lotion.
  7. I wouldn't bother. Far easier and less expensive industries to get into than this. Far too much market saturation forcing wages/ profit down.
  8. No problem, he had alot of ex forces people on the course last time ,some went into estate works etc But he's worth the call
  9. Doesn't bark sometimes serve to protect a tree from forest fires and therefore doesn't burn well?
  10. I have a tractor with a FEL but it's not a big potato area here so doubt 2nd hand crates are particularly common. I'm currently just storing them in hessian sacks but letting the sticks season before processing (and I know this is harder on the blades)
  11. I wanted to propagate a Kentish cobnut by layering but haven't had much success. Was under it today, seeing if there were any nuts that the bloody squirrels had missed, and saw 2 suckers - can I just dig these up and replant them? They're blatantly not growing from the same stool (suppose they could have grown from seed)
  12. British Mycological Society has recently been discussing various Phaeolus finds on Sorbus. Incidentally, Sorbus intermedia has recently been reclassified as Scandosorbus intermedia.
  13. I didn’t write it 🤷‍♂️ You are talking to the wrong person.
  14. Out with the old and in with the new!
  15. @eggsarascal 3 weeks since the caravan park story and I see you've been on recently and I think it's time to speak up.
  16. Many thanks for the advice
  17. Talk to lee at lbs training Wellington, he will give you an un biased answer as to if your past it , he is also ex sas too -you might consider forestry instead . Depends how much your body's fked Some people change career at 40 and dunno if that's not ideal.
  18. Karma doesn’t “always collect” It doesn’t exist, it’s as real as the tooth fairy.
  19. I doubt that body armour would have nipples either, however the authorities have released footage of the suspect and he was on a lower building around 140m away with some sort of atrium roof, they have some smudged prints from when he climbed over the edge of the building and a shoe imprint from his converse trainers and it sounds like they have the firearm as he left it in some wooded area close by. Some good evidence along with photos of him so I would suspect that they will be close to apprehending him thankfully.
  20. Wordle 1,546 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟩⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  21. Freedom of speech is dead. I didn't know the bloke, did a quick search on him, realised he was the one that south park had been mocking, came to the conclusion he was a bit of a prick, who I wouldn't have over for dinner. I have made no speculation as to who shot him. He clearly has stirred up some trouble for someone to go to the effort of executing him. Sorry if I have offended anyone who knew him.
  22. Morning all. 3hrs is not enough sleep, however, lovely morning in Pompey (is that what you locals call it?) and the ferry awaits. Thought you were early wordling this morning Mick, hope Igor is good. Have a good one folks.

  24. I watched a breakdown video last night. It pointed out a number of points. He wasn't wearing a chest plate. It certainly looks like something under his shirt. But earlier in the clip you can see his nipples through his t-shirt. I don't thing they have nipples on body armour. The clip also pointed out that the suspected shooting spot from 200m away was ontop of a multi story carpark. The campus was a mile from the highway and to the south there was an airport approx 5 miles away. The shooter could technically have been on the free way by the time they started looking for the shooter. and in the air a short time after that. The guy doing the breakdown was an ex green beret. No conclusion it was an organised hit but if it was the planning and exfil (potentially) was quite easy to work out.
