  1. Past hour
  2. Good morning Arbtalkers 😊
  3. Wordle 1,696 5/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  4. Morning all. Monday again, far to soon! Starting a site clearance job today, just me working with Tom so I'll be cutting for the tractor, be a nice change from sitting in it. Have a good one folks.
  5. Today
  6. Any chance of getting mine on too? Name is Duncan Currie...
  7. Yesterday
  8. My tort lecturer was an ambulance chasing toerag before going into teaching. He ran the scan vans that toured post industrial areas, told people they were afflicted and going to die in miserable pain, and then sued their previous employers (or anyone standing still enough for long enough) for the psychological damage his scans had caused. One of the appeals was one of the last cases heard by the house of lords before the supreme court took over. It’s funny now and he can enjoy his contribution to legal history but it was seriously scummy stuff.
  9. It's only us old farts who truly know the pleasure and education of finding out what everyday commodities go bang or boom. Kids of today frightened by their own shadows
  10. Cheeky cnut, I've got all of 4 months yet.
  11. We had a job felling and clearing the ground of an old nursery for housing development and one small building had an asbestos roof and we had to get people in with a special license with hasmat suits and breathing gear to dismantle it .
  12. British car industry, circa 2026. A fifty year old Englishman, overqualified for the task builds a car purely to delight the new Chinese middle class.
  13. Wordle 1,695 5/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  14. Course woodwork, very much at the other end of the scale from the high art above. The boy absolutely loves it though. Good old clean fun.
  15. Nah, lime buds look like little boxing gloves.
  16. Ive never touched the stuff, to many people near me developed mesothelioma, I know of people who have taken there lives because they were scared of developing cancer . Ive just knocked back a job of stripping off a garage roof and dismantling a concrete garage
  17. Nope, they do the 1.9 as per the post above, and a 3.8t.
  18. Wait till you get a price. Only available in the UK as Case. Enquired and they said they handn't sold so well and they had a couple of 2023 models, new old stock. Aha, thought I. £33k plus vat. No thanks. It's a bit of a joke machine tbh- apparently it's for 'internal demolition'. If so then why isn't it electric or a hybrid at the least?
  19. This looks like common Lime. The shoot zig zags with a bud at each bend, although I would have expected the buds to be more red in colour.
  20. Yes . That was the stuff .
  21. Reminds me of when a Welsh student told me how to say "pleased to meet you" in Welsh when I was to be introduced to my Welsh tutor 😉
  22. Yes but it was only the stuff with dimples on one side that exploded. I guess it was steam trapped in the cement.
  23. I've got some issue to investigate on the 372! If I hold the saw horizontal to cut a slice from a stem I was getting a lot of smoke and noticed oil was visibly squirting from the bar mount area, directly to the exhaust. Cure was to flip the saw over. I didnt notice after that if it was still squirting out. The bar appeared to be getting adequate lube and cutting fine, though I didnt bother to test if it flings from the nose. Its had a good clean and will try again tomorrow. Any ideas if it continues? I did have theboiler turned up to full, might need to turn it down.
  24. We used to do it as kids . Chuck a few bits on a bonfire . What a hoot !
  25. Whale tastes lovely. No I won’t send you any.
