    Husky junk

I don’t have to patience to do that on every machine. My fs461 and fs490 are stored with normal mix in and never have an issue over ten years. im just at a loss as to why three Husky machines have failed like it.
  5. doobin

    Husky junk

Stored with all the rest of the machines inside an insulated workshop.
  6. doobin

    Husky junk

All three were laid up in perfect health. Started up after changing the fuel and wouldn’t run right, started to need throttle to keep idling etc. Pull them over and it’s clear the compression has vanished. Remove exhaust and I can see scratches everywhere. I have multiple stihl machines stored for similar periods without use and have never had a problem. I’m perplexed. The polesaw has been replaced with Milwaukee m18 which is a massive improvement in performance and I’ve just ordered the m18 back handle.

  11. The opposition had plenty to say about it,,,
  12. Death by a thousand cuts Steve. Up here in Aberdeenshire jobs are being lost on a daily basis, the UK sector is being strangled by a tax brought in when oil was $129 a barrel, it’s now around $60 that plus a ban on new drilling. Sheer lunacy, especially seeing as we are importing more and more from overseas. She took money off those whose votes she cares nothing about, savers ,farmers, the self employed, small businesses, entrepreneurs were all ignored. The huge corporations were barely scratched. What you saw was an individual and government totally out of their depth with zero vision or idea of how to sort this out, Just the classic labour socialist fantasy tax the rich ( or everyone for that matter) money tree mentality. The biggest concern now has to be how much damage can these fools do before they are voted out. What Rachel Reeves hopes you didn’t notice in the Budget APPLE.NEWS The Chancellor's Budget leaves all of us collectively worse off by billions
  13. As you say; was expected. If anything I’m relieved she didn’t rook us more
  14. 50 years between us of blood, sweat and tears! Adventures and escapades that would astound! Dirty washing done in house and such low levels of appreciation and reward and all because we loved the brand, the users and the dealers!
  15. No comments about the budget anyone? I suppose it was already fairly well known so no major surprises today?
  16. Sure is, did you used to live locally?

  22. I have 'shelf queens' that are only started every 3 4 or 5 years or so with no issues. I run them dry after using and store them in a temperate climate. Not too cold and not too hot.
  23. Wester Laggan, Dulnain bridge?, long time since I have been up at the masts.
  24. Glad my ramblings helped you and thanks for the update👍
  25. What does "scored the bore" mean, have they seized, were they seized or scored when left on the shelf last year, is it carbon damage and who diagnosed the damage? It is possible that it is just normal wear and your repair shop is egging it up. I have saws, Husky and Stihl that haven't run in 1-3 years that will fire right up when needed. The oil in the fuel usually protects the engine parts. Both the manufacturers use very similar materials in their pistons and cylinders so not sure why these issues have occured.
  26. Yeah for twenty five years 😉
