I fixed that for you 😁 Mike Dawes makes me want to throw all my guitars on a bonfire... not to mention Mateo Mancuso. BTW as you helped me before, if you're on a laptop and want to post a link all you have to do is highlight the title at the top of the page by clicking on it and turning it blue, then press and hold control, ctrl... and while holding that press ' c ' , now that you've done that to insert you're link into a post just hold down ctrl and press ' v ' and Bob's yer auntie.... be sure to go back and un-highlight the blue If you're on a phone I've no effin idea🙃

I thought the same. I would have expected older charger to still charge the 540 but at a slower rate. I would look into it but tbh ica. If the technical info isnt forwarded onto to dealers before the release of these products then I give up. Manufactures are always changing their products and they very rarely relay the info over to us. One day you are selling a certain item, the next day it looks completely different and costs 50% more.

Smooth cutting and a good operator on the crane 👍🏻

To put it in perspective, those large batteries are being asked to output the same power or more than the maximum a 13A plug can handle. It is quite amazing but nowhere close to petrol. Thats an odd design decision as they are both 40v packs. With most brands it would still allow charging but just be somewhat slow. Theres not really any technical reason for it.

I was lucky enough to visit that edge tool manufacturing place, Morris and sons. An impromptu tour when I when to pick up a bill hook they repaired for me. It was a treat. Now closed sadly.

Looks like RM are going to stiff us good and proper. With the cost of transactions fees, sale and refund, postage costs, time and the cost of the lost items its not been a very festive season at all. Its the same scenario with fraudulent card purchases, the merchant looses out and everyone else just gets on with their day except for Mr Visa/Mastercard who ends up profiting. RM have done quite well out of this, charged us for postage, probably about £400 and have to do bugger all for it. Enough of my winging and complaints, on the plus side there is, the ermm, I wont be spending anyone more of our hard cash on battery chainsaws. If one of those went missing in the post I would have packed it all in.

Search for it on here. Discussed within the last year. The conclusion I came to was that it's handy like a Hobbs for pre-tension (and handier because it's smaller and cheaper) but a lift any longer than a foot ot two with the cleat method in the video will be a pain because rope will pile up on the drum. On Monday, I'm collecting the backplate for the pre-production prototype of something better. dawinchi site:arbtalk.co.uk because the actual site search function isn't great.

Doh I see now, you cleaned the red paint and put your own handle. So it's probably a more recent one if it is Bulldog. I still like it.

Thanks for the update. That is disappointing, I didn't realise that you needed a specific charger for the 540 battery! I think that I will give stocking that saw a miss. When you are looking at over £2000 just for a couple of batteries, charger and the machine then it is getting a bit silly. As you say those batteries are very heavy, nearly 3kg so you wouldn't want to use them in many other machines. Maybe we should stick to hedge trimmers, top handle battery saws and a small rear handle saws for now until battery tech moves on.
