Also remember this is totally unseasoned timber so once processed into manageable lengths I then have to keep it in IBC cages for a year or more, properly covered and with good airflow. And then finally I have a product which is brilliant for getting a fire going, but not so good for maintaining a nice slow burn. Not enough chunky stuff. So the bottom line is the amount of time and covered space it takes to process, dry and sell it is just not viable.

Sounds like there is little improvement with the version you had then. It's a shame, the compactness and ease of on and off is great, like a BDB. But the frustration of ****************ing about with settings is no good. Atleast it's got replaceable bits so isn't a throw away device after a year like the first version.

This certification ensures the woodchips have been tested to guarantee they are safe, free from contaminants, and provide impact attenuation to protect children from falls. You should look for products explicitly labeled as "Play Grade" or "Play Safe" and ensure they conform to BS EN 1177.

Playground mulch/bark chip is usually peeled from the log so there are no splinters.

If you're not going to mulch it, then to me, the only way forward is a trailer to get it home in bundles, and a proper sawbench to log it. Been there.................

You've got to try it to know. There are definitely easier ways to earn money, but also much more boring ones. On the plus side, compared to even 10 years ago there's a lot more mechanisation in the industry , and climbing techniques are kinder on the body. Maybe it varies where you are in the country, but always seems to be demand for reliable people round here.

Sorry I missed the layering bit, what failed with it. It was the normal method for propagating hazel coppice which was sparse.
