Traumatic day yesterday and more of the same today! I've told my loved ones to put me in an institution if I get the condition too! Walk away and don't look back! Charmouth beach or some such to occupy a couple of hours. Be good y'all! Pull, Liszt, Surprise.

Morning all, Managed to mow my grass yesterday. I keep kidding myself it will be the last cut of the year. Weighing in a trailer load of sweepings then a couple of quotes.

If you was WELSH Mick that would be 5/6 days in a day π

I listened to some talk by a women and it was about learning in schools. Obviously about retention of knowledge but saying how actually writing stuff down lodges in our brains better then work on screens, lots of schools do stuff on tablets and laptops. I for one know that if I write stuff down in a diary I will be more likely to remember it! If only I could find where I put that diary! As a consequence of loosing said diary I now use the calender on my phone, helpful because my wife can add stuff to the calendar.

I was in the Nissan main dealers yesterday waiting to get my truck back after some warranty work . I was board so I was staring at one of the many screens promoting the latest range . " Intelligent cruse control " It sets the car to the chosen speed then when detects a car in front going slower it automatically adjusts your speed to match the car in front and drops back to the prescribed distance for safe driving . I have always managed to do that myself by lifting off a bit .

Fb marketplace is full of dreamers, good for little local stuff though.

Good Morning Clear and brighter than yesterday. Still the same gloom ahead on the motorway. Have a great start to the weekend.

Ok, I had three 200s, good saws, but not worthy of the reverence they receive. The first 201s were gutless rubbish, Brad Schnellinger (a US saw guru) fixed them with an upgrade to the timing or something, Stihl copied his upgrade and sold it as their own idea. Then started selling them already βfixedβ My 201s lasted much longer than the 200s ime, but opinions vary.

felling Echo Cs-621sx gunsights not aligned
Field Builds replied to droppinlimbs's topic in Maintenance help
Yeah, that can be frustrating. Some Echo models have sights that are slightly off from the factory. Best thing to do is make a few test cuts on smaller trees or logs and mark your own visual reference on the saw body once you find the true alignment. A quick paint line or scratch mark usually fixes the issue permanently. -
Surely not 42, Iβd have thought you a well travelled man πππ€

Yeah, everyone up here uses facebook marketplace which seems to have become the main way to sell stuff cheaply locally, but I know I'll never go down that road, tbo this is my only online venture from which I've learnt a lot over the years....

No, not much idea at all really. It's all a long way away from the west midlands, and even further away from the south west. Yes, they should be handing it over for free, but they're not unfortunately. That's why they're so obscenely rich. So dear David needs donations. You could still contribute. It's good to help sometimes, rather than just complain and criticise.

I saw a good talk about the impacts of AI on education by some guy last year. Can't find it now which is a shame. It was hard hitting. He essentially said that in just a few short years the whole education system will be completely redundant. Due I think to the fact that our education system is largely based on the sharing and retention of knowledge currently. Very soon there'll no real need for that as almost everything can be looked up. Wish I could remember more details. There was also some discussion of the fact that education is primarily aimed at providing students with the knowledge required to gain and succeed in employment. But again, what's the point of that when the jobs for humans won't be there soon as most will be done by AI governed machines? Excepting some skilled, manual work obviously.

It's 4yrs old but barely been used as it was a 2nd charger for when the main one was busy. Smell of burnt electronics. The main charger is a QC500, 6yrs old, has been used a lot, and still works fine Plenty of stories online of QC330 chargers dying. I wonder what is wrong in the design, they seem to have a very high failure rate.

ππ³ You know where Rothbury and Northumberland actually are ?. Lining the Percyβs pockets. They should be handing it over for free.

Big difference between a helicopter and the internet. Probably an even bigger difference with AI. If used for evil deeds the helicopter can only inflict limited damage on the scale of things. AI on the other hand, given it's all pervasive nature, could result in untold harms in the wrong hands. Or even left to its own devices if some analysis is to be believed. There's no doubt at all that it's a powerful tool. Perhaps it's too powerful already. That wasn't the original question though.

Ok, I thought you hailed from the NW, but no matter, my mistake. Doesn't make much difference though, you could still contribute to a good cause.
