    Jokes???

  3. I assume he didn’t pursue dog training as a vocation because that sounds pretty confusing. On flitting between communication styles, me and a mate took Sailor and mum’s (considerably less biddable) shepherd, Mecho (Misha - I don’t know - some Russian bullshit) out the other day. Mecho picked up a limp on a track by a flailed hedge. Obviously a thorn. Rolled him over. Checked his front paws. Moderate annoyance. Grabbed a back one and he bared his teeth at me. I’m not fuccing having that so I gave him a mixed tirade of growling, barking and some highly professional dog training phrases along the lines of, YOUFUCCINGSHOWMETHATLIPCUNT! Just then, a jogger passed us, wearing a vest for a race that I know up north. A nice coincidence. Said hello and remarked on the smallness of the world. He sped up! Rude. Anyway. Apparently snapping between tones so readily, “makes you look like a psycho.” Right o. I’ll stay in character as a savage so he doesn’t think I’m odd then shall I.

  6. I first came aware of extreme Tourette’s when me and all my mates watched Johns Not Mad, we were all stoned (as usual) and its all we could talk about for weeks. I have had friends with nervous tics, but nothing like that. Its a hell of a thing.
  7. The carbs are different between the Partner K750 & Husqvarna K750. Not suggesting the settings are different, but they may be. The Partner K750 ceased production in 2006, when it then became the Husqvarna K750. the carbs for the Partner version are now obsolete, whereby the Husqvarna ones are still available from Husky. Both Zama models, but are different part numbers.
  8. ADW is fine but like many, got fed up with the "political discussions" on the site that have taken over from what was a decent arborist site with decent content where guys like us can sort out the technical issues that we deal with on a daily basis but there you go. On the K750....try 1-1.5 turns on each L&H screw, I usually tune the L by ear and the H using a tach but each man to his own.
  9. The subject of that film JD is local to me, decent guy from what I know. Can remember as a youngster being quite impressed seeing him up the high street shouting all sorts at the police with no repurcussion. Biggest laugh was his black lab, one day it had darted over the other side of the road and he was shouting it back nicely "here boy, good lad, come here boy...". The dog would start going towards him, tail wagging, then halfway over he'd erupt spitting and shouting "the dug's a c***, f the dug, f'in dug, get tae f" and it'd turn back to the other pavement. Then he'd go nice again, the dog started towards him and he'd erupt again. Did feel sorry for them both but it was hilarious to watch.
  10. That's a good idea. The Arb Association run courses on BS5837, you might want to look into that at some point.
  11. Good suggestion! I was surprised that it didn't give setting in the service manual, but still! As you say it's basically a Partner, even says so on the saw, Husqvarna Partner K750. I'll check it out, thanks for the heads up! It's a shame if the site loses adw, always a helpful and knowledgeable guy!
  12. Although it's to be expected by now there has been plenty of time and opportunity to destroy files, emails, and any other evidence of his own wrongdoing, along with others that may have been complicit or otherwise involved.
  13. Mandy has been arrested! About time that the loathsome toad has got his just desserts! Hope that he repay his pension the he got from the public purse!
  14. The Twitter furore about that actor with Tourette’s shouting the N word during the BAFTAs last night is quite something. No one knows what to say about it.
  15. Thanks that interesting to know. Yes I've been doing VTA risk assessment for council and my own side work for a couple of years. But I'd like to move into other tree surveying and bs5837 seems like a natural place to move to. Although I do see there's quite a bit to get familiar with. I think I'm going to try to start by offering my services to other arb companies as a field surveyor for the bs5837 only rather than doing the whole thing as I still need to learn a bit more.
  16. Its for my own side hustle as council work is just risk assessment stuff and the pay is poor and opportunities for development limited. I've been running my own small time arb business for a few years and would like to expand into surveying now that I'm getting older. I found the download as suggested on West Berks site. Nice one, I really appreciate that as it will save me a lot of hassle. Now I just gotta print it off and spend some time reading through it.
  17. Has anyone ever done any woth woth Enviro Trees here in UK as a Tree Partner, where you basically get work as a bona fide subcontractor? I would like to know whether they will rip me off or waste my time?

Yeah. It’s half way down the bed so the dog box would be in the way. And now you say it, I’m highly likely to put deer in the back and breed the same maggots in the same place. I think the Suzuki and Daihatsu engines are under the seats. Much more maintenance-conducive. The Subaru Sambar engine is behind the rear axle! Not sure why I’m averse to that but I am.
  19. Have you googled partner cut of saw? They were up until a point husqvarna but yellow , from memory not much has changed on them
  20. Non of them carp fishermen ?
  21. My dad had a Honda garage back in the day, and sold an Acty van to a local butcher for deliveries. It came in for a service and the mechanics were disgusted to find it crawling with maggots when they removed the hatch to get to the engine….
  22. He said he had retired so he may not look in as much now.
  23. I agree, but not seen him on here for a month or two? I hope he's ok?
  24. We used to have this little act you did to showcase the effectiveness of the radiator sealant. You had a little bucket with a hole in the bottom, you’d fill it up with water then poured in this stuff and the hole got blocked, hey presto! Now, how many cases do you want? I went into this one back street garage, where the suspiciously gleeful young man said ‘follow me’ when I asked to see the boss. I found him (or at least the rear end of him) crouched under a sink in the rear of the garage, there was clearly some sort of crisis, but undaunted I started with the scripted spiel something along the lines of ‘say your radiator is leaking, what are you going to do?’ There came a deep menacing voice from underneath the sink ’if I come out from under here and there’s some prick with a bucket in his hand selling that sHit, I won’t be responsible for what happens!’ I got out of there as quickly as I could. That effectively was the end of my career as a door knocking sales man. My confidence was shot to pieces.

You’d have been way more successful in a big truck. Honda Acty is on my list but the engine is in a slightly weird place compared to the others.
