Nope the guard is 100% coming off before its first job. Note the Fakita, which apart from having a bulky motor sticking out the side, is actually pretty good. Its only a basic DC motor but it feels to have decent power and chain speed. Cant remember when I last used it.

Not Trump bashing but a comment on Vance: Words to the effect of: "The Trump administration has been more transparent on the Epstein files than any other issue" - makes you wonder then if that is transparency is all the other press briefings just made up stories? "I've been on the job training for US president for 7 months if Trump falls ill" - a few months ago there would have been a strong denial of any illness but today? and in other news, Ukraine war has been cancelled, no hostages in Gaza, and the US Militia are sorting out Washington DCs crime problem by litter picking

I haven't read the story yet this morning but usual story I reckon: Disillusioned kid Gets parents gun (that is meant to be secured?) Wants to make a name for themselves is currently often the 'reason' (as opposed to previously to settle some score) Shoots the easy targets In the US blame will get shifted about but never any responsibility put onto the parents for leaving the gun handy in the first place, and there will be strong defence that the type of gun used has a place in society. I'll have to read the story later but I bet that is a fair summary?

Don't take the guard off !! Just take your time -and learn how to adjust your cutting techniques.. ? I'm now so glad I didn't remove the guard, despite how annoying it seemed at first. Just stick with it for a couple of weeks and you'll see what I mean. I really like the 40v XGT version and I'd rate it equivalent to our Milwaukee M18 fuel. Used it on a 40' pine takedown yesterday. Great. The 2511 came up the tree, but I can't remember the last it was used for pruning.

Three chains is probably about right for the amount of wear, I would hope to manage more before replacing the drum. Because the drive link is bottoming out it will be slightly deformed which may make it feel tight in the bottom of the bar groove when you pull it round manually.

The (FAKE) bus loads of immigrants eggsarascal posted last Sunday (24 Aug):- “A couple I know are wardens on a Haven Holiday Park in Cleethorpes, last night two coaches turned up with a hundred of these immigrants, . . . . . . . Someone tell me wtf is going on” “Yes they arrived, do you want to look like a cnut for questioning me when the truth is out in the next couple of days?” “. . . . . . the truth will out very soon, then I'll await your response” “. . . . . . when the truth is out will those who've called me out apologise? Will they feck, they think they above that sort of nonsense.” “They dont want to hear the truth, over the next couple of days the truth will come out, then they will crawl back under their rocks and say, nothing to see here” ♬ Oh, why are we waiting? ♫

About time too. It's an utter farce, complete madness. Drax’s shares plunge as City watchdog investigates sourcing of wood pellets | Drax | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM FCA inquiry into biomass power station relates to disclosures and transparency over two-year period

Sad but true unfortunately. Also sad is the fact that outrageous stuff like this happens all too often in good old USofA, so it's not really news in some respects. Too many fcked up people, and too many guns?

Morning all, Shoulder easing off a bit so can plan work for next week now. Looking forward to grapple saw news Stephen.

Tony flailing with a 2.7t digger is for when you can’t be arsed putting a blade on a strimmer, and tbh sometimes you’d be quicker with the strimmer. If it’s light bramble and jaggies work in areas you can only get a 5’ machine in with a lot of stones or uneven ground, then use the digger and flail. If it’s not that then you’ll soon get frustrates with the flail. More info on you lots of flailing. Regarding the longer boom, if it’s a zero turn machine it will buckaroo you all day long in the seat and will restrict your lifting capacity.

I’ve dreamt of 1 of these since before they got invented I think! Every tree around my mates yards getting a hair cut and I’ll get my bar straightening machines ready!

Funny (sad?) how so much of this is political point scoring, a couple of innocent children shot in an American church doesn't seem to be outrageous enough to mention.

First time I met with it was about 2002 when a work colleague said his cousins friend (immediate red flag) had seen someone drop their wallet while shopping in London and returned it to the person, a middle Eastern man, he wanted to give her £10 for being so honest but she refused so he said "You have been very kind, let me give you some good advice, don't be in London at the weekend!" Quick Google sorted that one out as it was repeated across many platforms over many months. In most cases gullibility is the problem but I really struggle with cases like this.

Tracked machine problems advice required.

Yes but fixing on site could mean you have to wait for someone to come out to wherever you are. It's not I could call the AA to get me home. I don't know why they don't offer a system like you say. Something where you can put the machine in neutral so that you can push it out or even tow it out of gear.
