Glad you got it sorted, one of my siblings has had stents fitted and has had 10+ years and is still going, sadly my father had one massive attack which he was never going to recover from. Hopefully you'll be back on your feet and getting fitter soon

No requirement for an apology. Critical thinking can become second nature if you use it enough, but yes some things are not going to be known. Rather than choosing to accept things that we are told its better to check around for alternative viewpoints, the best recent story is the eggsarascal one, he either knew it was a lie or just took something on face value or saw something that sounded probable but didn't check the facts as it suited his view/bias. Lastly, bias. We all have them and part of critiquing is letting loose of biases, that's the hard thing.

Tide in at lunch so afternoon stroll along Charmouth beach with the old folk. Think I got to take a couple of calls about work too! Exploring a couple of job opportunities. Vat of curry to be made later for the old folks freezer. Did a large lasagne last night and they both had seconds which is a good sign.this followed by a couple of beers at Perry Street Club while the traditional local skittles teams played. Sorry to hear this. We never know what is round the corner. Fortunately the management of ischaemic heart disease has come a very long way over the last 40 years. One guy in the village had his stents more than fifteen years ago and returned to work as a roofer very quickly. At 85 he has only just stopped walking his dog, but due to arthritis, still no angina come back. Hope the stents happen asap and all goes well.

So for the last three weeks or so I’ve been getting increasingly fatigued, out of breath with a bit of tightness across the chest, so much so that walking at normal pace for 50m saw me breathing like I’d sprinted 200m - that’s unlikely at the grand age of 60 mind. Finally managed to get into the quacks on Monday - straight to a&e from there. Diagnosed with exertional angina. Had angiogram yesterday afternoon - two blocked arteries ☹️ Currently awaiting transfer to cardiac unit to have a couple of stents fitted which could take a couple of days to a week Very luckily I seem to have avoided a full blown heart attack and there’s only minor damage. I eat well, don’t smoke, like a few beers/wine, could work all day no problems including a bit of easier climbing when I fancied it. No previous symptoms before a month ago - never imagined it would happen to me. My wife’s had 3 heart attacks, 6 stents, full bypass, femoral anrtery bypass and is often in a wheelchair so I have to be there to care for her. So please - any warning signs, don’t ignore them and think “I’ll be fine, it’ll pass” - get yerself checked out 👍

A mate has them in his freezer for the odd meal. Says they taste better shot in the autumn when their diet is more nuts and vegetable based than in the spring and summer when they predate a lot of birds eggs and baby birds
