Morning all, Raining here but should clear soon. Nice conifer climb and dismantle to do. Even if it is raining it will be better than the M25 yesterday. Happy October

Sorry to hear this. We never know what is round the corner. Fortunately the management of ischaemic heart disease has come a very long way over the last 40 years. One guy in the village had his stents more than fifteen years ago and returned to work as a roofer very quickly. At 85 he has only just stopped walking his dog, but due to arthritis, still no angina come back. Hope the stents happen asap and all goes well.

So for the last three weeks or so I’ve been getting increasingly fatigued, out of breath with a bit of tightness across the chest, so much so that walking at normal pace for 50m saw me breathing like I’d sprinted 200m - that’s unlikely at the grand age of 60 mind. Finally managed to get into the quacks on Monday - straight to a&e from there. Diagnosed with exertional angina. Had angiogram yesterday afternoon - two blocked arteries ☹️ Currently awaiting transfer to cardiac unit to have a couple of stents fitted which could take a couple of days to a week Very luckily I seem to have avoided a full blown heart attack and there’s only minor damage. I eat well, don’t smoke, like a few beers/wine, could work all day no problems including a bit of easier climbing when I fancied it. No previous symptoms before a month ago - never imagined it would happen to me. My wife’s had 3 heart attacks, 6 stents, full bypass, femoral anrtery bypass and is often in a wheelchair so I have to be there to care for her. So please - any warning signs, don’t ignore them and think “I’ll be fine, it’ll pass” - get yerself checked out 👍

A mate has them in his freezer for the odd meal. Says they taste better shot in the autumn when their diet is more nuts and vegetable based than in the spring and summer when they predate a lot of birds eggs and baby birds

Sunny and warm later. Grinding and clear up today, easy stuff close to home.

Welcolme to our tip site in Bishop's Tawton. Looking out for wood chips and unprocessed logs. Happy to pay a reasonable amount for hardwood (in cash or beer). Ideally contact ahead.

Been covered before but smoke and mirrors come to mind. Worth noting next time VDL is spouting her EU garbage.

No, I think you should persevere, and post the results up on the cooking thread. That winter stew sounds good. It was a few years ago now, but I don't remember them tasting too gamey at all. The old cliché - just tasted like chicken, but a bit more interesting.

Hi all thanks for all your appreciated replies. I have a Husqvarna 550 XP mk 2 great saw, was wondering if there is bit lighter saw to use to cut the crooked cordwood, as at 74 the mind is more willing than the body😉

I'm guessing squirrels might taste a little bit gamey/possibly a bit interesting, when roasted ?? (I'm thinking Winter stews, with a bit of damson and seasoning etc.) I've no idea, obviously, but clearly would be quite a faff to prep them, as you say... So possibly skinned, cooked and then thrown into a stock pot, to separate the meat off easily.. ? Nah...you're right, it's all sounding a bit much of an effort 🙄

Apologies - think more philosophically rather than anatomically. How can you choose to critique what you don’t believe/know?

Timberwolf 150 2004 Diverter Valve solenoid Help.......
woody paul replied to Dodge's topic in Maintenance help
Just replace whole unit, my 150 played out about 4 years ago didn't get from timberwolf as said I needed to change whole setup with hydraulic manifold . Ring Parker hydraulics in Norfolk, supplied unit all you need is shorter bolts to fit. -
Aye, but, and I say this with respect, you are in your 70's, and the younger generation hasn't given up hope yet.
