One of the best guitarists there’s been,RIP.

Well after keeping a 150ftr going i am reasonably happy with timberwolf including the availability of parts.

I had a gm220 with the 55hp engine. it did block up with conny but I reckon the terrible state of the anvil was responsable. I’d go for the TW over a Forst any day

yup, it's a blaze, too hot to keep the door open for too long . hand or face ,it's too much heat for human skin 😁 It burns quite different from birch , less white-yellow big flames almost wanting to escape the stove... More subtle civilized flame with oak. And it burns longer than any wood I used so far. I see now why it's so appreciated this firewood oak "thing" 🙄 But the seasoning time (at least 2 years) is a problem if you're in a "hurry". Oak needs planning if you're gonna burn it 😂 oak fire stove ceramic tile WWW.BITCHUTE.COM Hot fire in ceramic tile stove with dry oak seasoned 22-24 months

Well my only experience of green mech was from circa 2008, I only did a couple of railway shifts, brand new green mech and we were at it with a tw190. The other team with the GM team tried to feed a Conny in, it blocked, they spent a long time trying to sort it. It was the timber it appeared to get stuck on! Subsequently wickdamula , ken Hogan, rip, had one and was happy with it. And someone else with a arborist 130 seemingly many happy years with out fault.

Sad news. Thanks for the music Chris. RIP

Saw a repeat of the Gone Fishing episode with him on. Tbh with the health issues he’d had, he did well to get to that age.

Hi 42 Sorry for the delay. Here's a few pics of some of my lapsed pollard Hornbeams. Tell me if / when you get fed up - maybe I'll start just post a few ! Obviously some of these are past it / best left alone, but i would love to hear suggestions as to whether (and how) to restart the pollarding without killing the tree ! Some of them are seriously top heavy, have rot pockets from the pollard and subsequently shed or fall over. Others are just too crowded out . All suggestions welcome.

I'm confused; is that an input, or an output from the Dempsey Song Writing Machine?

kram started following Fungi on oak
-
Looking at an oak today, noticed this fungi on a buttress root. When touched, there were visible white spores released. Looks like they are well past their best, is it possible to identify them from the photo? Photo of the whole tree, its the closer one.

Mick’s coming for Christmas and to help with some songwriting so I’ve done a big batch of tandoori breakfast curry.

Microwave garlic for 5-10 seconds. It peels itself.

The background is that I have a Countrax ride on mower and lost the key. Improvised with a screw driver in desperation and finally got round to buying a new key holder. The new key holder was differently wired. To cut a long story short I managed to put the wrong wire on the wrong terminal with the result that I got smoke coming out of the top of the engine where the starter motor goes round. See photo. The smoke lasted for about at most 10 seconds probably less when the batter was quickly disconnected. Tried to start it again (more in hope than expectation) and not surprisingly it is dead as a dodo. Now I am an old motorcycle guy and am not familiar with a more modern engine that probably has PCBs and my suspicion is that I have blown something serious... but what? is it the insulation on a copper coil of some sort? (I think not) so what caused the smoke to stop the engine firing ? Where will I find a "Haines" type manual to work out how to take the cowling etc off and get to the working parts of the engine? Yrs aye. Chris George
