Because they cost a bloody fortune to build, install and maintain. The areas with sufficient tidal flow to make it worthwhile are by nature a nightmare to carry out Subsea Construction in be it with divers or rovs. There are a few around the UK. Something like the Severn Barrage which has been talked about for god knows how long would be a far better option long term. Second highest tidal range in the world down there the energy potential is huge. We just don’t have the balls as a nation it seems to do such things nowadays.

Mark there are some absolutely ridiculous childish comments put out day to day on here, if it aligns politically it’s just fine if it doesn’t 🤷♂️ 😂😂 I try and keep it factual Mark. Can’t be arsed with double talk and BS which some here live for. 100% wrong, obvious from very early on if you had a single ounce of common sense. 17 and who is they ??. Anything that was drummed into me then has long since gone Mark. I find ex forces lads to be a lot more independent and broad minded than many civvies. You are doing what they say every time you pay tax, buy fuel, mot your car, obey multiple laws and rules etc etc etc there is no other option unfortunately, to claim to be above all of that or be a libertarian is just self delusion. The crazy thing is you are ultra left and often as not as you see with Labour those types of left wing so called socialist governments want more control and influence over your everyday life than anything from the centre or right. Just my opinion of course.

Double check that please. Doesn’t make sense.

I'll be honest and say I've only used 1/4 pitch on the MSA200 and the Echo. The Echo was running 1/4 1.3mm at the time so not a fair comparison. The chain was great on the MSA200, although fiddly to sharpen
-
True that, I'll see if there's a need for it in the future.
-
Yep 14", but it's not a big cost to have both.
-
Oh, he is in the Newbury area (from his other post)

Doesn't really count as woodcraft, to be honest. It's just two cookies and a 4-way union of an ash. But it's a nice little seat and footrest by the pond. I expect greenery to appear around it and bed it in a little, in time. Modelled by Oscar. I'll probably add a coffee table or something to that unused limb to the left of the photo.

Fair play to you Freddi, I'm on a different landmass to you so I can't help. But I hope someone is reading who can. Best of luck fella.

Hi my names Freddi I am 18 and I’m looking for an apprenticeship in tree surgery. I am looking on doing everything I can within tree surgery like; climbing, chainsawing and much more and everything that comes with it. I’ve had a little bit of work experience with my step dad including moving logs splitting logs and delivering and loading logs. I am looking to go to bca in September hopefully to learn and develop more skills to become more useful and more into arboriculture. I don’t have a car yet I am learning to drive very soon. I am very reliable and will turn up to work everyday with a positive mindset to improve and to work had I’m very willing to learn and cannot wait for what is to come. phone number: 07486586380 email: [email protected]

Why not fell small stuff to waste, stacking only bigger stuff to either rot in a stack or extract later?
-
Prinz no longer do their debarking attachment, Chainsawbars do one for a sub 45cc saw but it uses a toothless chain to drive the head, like the old Atom drill, instead of a vee belt

Good stuff. I'm genuinely glad you and your family are doing well. It's good to teach the next generation how it is, so well played. You do also (on occasion) come across as a proper toddler, that does frame the responses you get on here. Look, COVID was (in the UK) a choice whether to obey the rules or not. I wasn't happy about being a virtual participant in a funeral which I would have been there in person, but for the first time in my life I listened to what 'they said'. Who knows whether that was right or wrong? How old were you when you joined the army and did what 'they said'? Gan canny, and double down on the barracuda.

No anger from me on here Mark. If anything I’ve had a good laugh at the juvenile shite being posted on here recently. Not watched your video, I might when I get back to hotel tonight, only 1537 here at min so I’ll try and deal with the sense of anticipation eh. Currently working out in the Caribbean Mark, one of my sons is here with me, decent day rate ( SP will have his fantasy abacus out soon no doubt ) so absolutely happy as at the min Bonny Lad 👍👍. Whenever you get righteous I always remember the “ sacrificing granny “ accusation 👍👍tends to remind me not to take you too seriously 😂

Adze or draw knife.
-
Yet, you are always angry on here, so I'm not buying what you're selling there. The BS techniques are all yours. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
-
Keep trying to create something out of nothing Mark, no one is angry, you are obviously picking up the BS techniques used by others. I expect better off a uni boy.
-
You clearly didn't listen to the video I put up. You should, it might help out your anger issues.

We’re removing a large robinia tree that has become unstable and want to repurpose the lengths to build a structure on the site. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for removing the bark and sap so only the heartwood is left? Thanks

There is this and maybe a trailer or two more to add to that pile , how long with a cone splitter on a three tone digger to break those logs in to two and three pieces for the processor ? I recon there will be about 25-30 ton. I can get a digger and splitter for €400 a day but if it’s not going to even touch that pile it’s won’t be worth it.. just want to see how that goes and works out for the processor.
