Sailor's been a difficult housemate recently. Howled while I was (upstairs) in the house earlier. Hasn't done that since I got him. Now just got back from the shop to find he's tanned half a pat of butter. It was my biscuits the other day.

😂😂you’d have to be nuts to go to him for anything after reading that news article.

That’s not always possible unfortunately . Trakmet take a 30% deposit up front on every order. On both machines I’ve had it’s been a massive relief once it was in country.

Welsh businessman left customers furious after they paid thousands, then one got on a plane to confront him | Wales Online WWW.WALESONLINE.CO.UK Companies run by Sean Reilly have left a trail of angry customers Wasn’t sure where to put this - it’s a news article so here will do I guess! A mate was nearly stung by this guy - gave him a £5k deposit for a tiltrotator that never materialised. It took nearly 12 months to get the money back (only got it back after things got a bit heavy…) Tread carefully - only part with money once what you are buying is loaded onto your trailer!

Stealing smartphones in London apparently.

Got admit, I just sold ex fil Yeti 4x4 with DSG. Would tow 2 tonne, and smooth too. 150hp and that DSG box was very, very good! Iffy looks on MK1, better in MK2.

Biggest thing, for a lot of us, is checking your cover includes commercial vehicles. Standard cover doesn’t include up to 3.5t.

Probably best check the travel cover isn't a 15 mile radius too, shit holiday that.

Sore subject for me. Always had breakdown cover through my bank. Pay £15 a month for a reward account that gives me breakdown cover, travel insurance amongst other things. I’ve used it a few times in the past, but the most recent episode my truck required recovery and it turned out my cover only allowed for recovery within 15 miles of home…I was significantly out of that and had to pay £180 roadside to upgrade it cover 🙄

Got to admit, when the GreenMech trucks broke down, I dont know who the fleet policy was with but they didn't impress. I vowed to lie to them if I broke down again. Single bloke goes to the back of the queue every time. I blew an engine and said that the engine was sized, do not send a man in the van, just send the recovery truck and two hours later, guess what? Man in a van arrives to diagnose a siezed engine and truck needed! Get home 9 hours later. Next time, "dont send a van unless he has an intercooler, van turns up at 3 hours and diagnosed a bust intercooler, recovery truck needed. Got home 12 hours later. Next time, "dont send a van unless he has a new engine, recovery truck arrives and takes me 3 miles to services where I wait. Getting home nearly 10 hours later! Next time, "engine overheat, limp home mode", recovery truck turns up and no tools, left at services for 6 hours, got home 5 later! Next time, "flat tyre and spare not removable (bust mechanism)", 6 hour wait......plugged the hole, told me not to go further than 50 miles in a 110 mile trip and not faster than 40pmh..... Not much faith in any of them,

. . . . . . . . and then there was none. 24 hours and the little ladybugs have all disappeared. Not a single one to be seen today. Oh, the mysteries of the natural world.

Can drop off on driveway/front lawn. Will accept logs and stumps but not roots with excessive dirt

Try pulling the seals on the crank bearings first, they may tell a story although the flywheel side may not give you much of a view....not done many 61s...ADW would probably have a bit more experience on these. Looking at the bearing through the open part of of the crank lobes may also help but can't really see the metal being anything else than the main bearing cage. I had similar on MattyFs 560xp many years ago, one of the stuffers had disintegrated causing similar damage. I managed to grind the port damage out, a good friend machined a pop up and took the base of the cylinder down and it worked on for a few years before detonating.

I have never found the need to pull welch plugs and my advice is not to as they are damn difficult to seal up correctly and permanently. I have had just a very few carbs that have gone bad and have not responded to a clean, carb kit, check valve, reseal of welch plugs or new accelerator pump. The 020t carb was one that would go temperamental with unstable idle and not respond to any normal fixes. It depends what the carb is off and what the issue is as to what action I took. Some have non serviceable accelerator pumps...the 357 springs to mind.

I cannot help with a company that refurbishes carburetors; it would be interesting to see what causes them to fail beyond needle valves, diaphragms and pumps, all of which are replaceable. For my part I have seen worn butterfly spindles/holes, throttle pumps and check valves cause air leaks that stop the engine running with either weak mixture or failing to draw fuel.
