  1. Hi, I had a ( how do I say this politely?) individual go into the back of my Toyota hilux at some traffic lights. This has led to oil going all over my climbing kit, I get that it's very bad for your rope and that has to be replaces. Same with lanyard, but what about my harness (it's a treemotion v2)? Is it just the bridge or do I need to bin it and get a brand new shiny one? Any help or comments would be a great help!

Bought this dragon harness a couple of years ago but only wore it for the first time last week - turned out to be a little roomy for me as I'm a right skinny b*st*rd! Has been LOLERED and can send a picture of the inspection document if needed. In like new condition, just a wee bit dusty. Contact me at [email protected] or on 07891011836

  4. Hi all, very new to this so bear with me, I have a Edelrid tree magic 2 harness. Think it was made in 2010. Hasn’t had much work maybe 10 times in a tree. Would it be recommended to get a new one or would this be fine to use every day for the next year? No wear on the harness. Thanks
  5. Hi folks, need. Little feedback on the the new skylotec. im currently in the market for a new harness I have climbed in a skylotec for the last 8 years really get on with the harness. I have also had 2/3 month on a tree motion didn’t get on with it when chogging down it was down by my arse when I had a big saw on. I see skylotec have brought a new harness out. Just unsure of the bridge on the harness it’s very easy to unattached it. any feed back on the new skylotec would be great. Also open to recommendations for a new harness. Thanks in advance
  6. Alright guys, I'm thinking about putting the treemotion evo bridge rope bones, which you can buy as spares, on my light treemotion harness (for the 2 bridges, new regs etc etc) has anyone tried this? Is the webbing compatible on the light harness? Cheers in advance!
  7. Shows how tenacious climbing line can be.
  8. I was just wondering if anyone had bought/used or had any experience with the new DMM iD smart tags for Loler. Does it work reliably? When you retro-fit a tag to any item does it actually stay on the item? It's probably fine if you're a fair-weather climber and look after your gear but what about climbing through wet/dense/slimy/ivy-covered trees and shoving it back in your bag to rot like most tree surgeons. I can imagine the zip-tie tag to a harness and other textile products staying attached but the sticky dot they provide for the caribeeners seems unlikely....and....if it's still there (on a rigging pulley) after a year will it still work??? Please any info would be appreciated
  9. hey guys quick question does anyone have any other ideas or tricks they have used on their bridge to help when using two climbing systems, as i'm finding that they're getting jammed together or caught on each other and its a pain in the arse. Thanks

  11. Anyone know when it's being released?
  12. Hi guys Am sure this question has probably been asked before, but couldn't seem to find a thread which properly answered my question! Basically I am looking to buy a new harness, mainly for rec climbing on the weekends and have been looking at the Petzl Sequoia (have also been looking at the Tree Motion but not sure I can justify the price for weekend rec climbing!) Anyway although I am currently climbing DdRT I am keen to explore SRT in the near future and was wondering whether it would be worth buying the Petzl Sequoia SRT version? Will this work ok with DdRT as well? The only difference I can see from the standard Sequoia is that the SRT version has attachment points for a chest harness, but is there more to it than this? Any advice appreciated Tom

  19. Hi I am new to the forum but from what I see it looks pretty good. I'm hoping I'm ok to add a link to my website where we have recently developed a range of pre-use inspection checklists for various pieces of equipment including harnesses, ladders, MEWPs etc which could be of use within this industry. We developed the system to ensure that anyone going to use equipment know's when it has been checked and that it is 'good to go' in line with PUWER, LOLER and WAHR regs. It might be overkill to some but an easy fix for others that want to ensure they are compliant with best practice. Let me know what you think: Good To Go : Introduction
