  1. well yes in a way what is petrol ? if not from old fossilized tree breaking down .
  2. or is it just as simple as vapor locking due to heat ? are you using the hot start method ie engage choke take you choke off without touching the trigger then give it a pull or two.
  3. for some reason i cant see battery saws taking over the mainstay of felling and production till they have better lasting battery's and cheeper battery's + when you need a recharge what are you going to do plug it into the nearest tree ? come on the greens cant even get your car charging stations sorted . just my thought agree or dont agree its your choice .
  4. im no expert but i would go for the best pro saw you can afford , why well when i started carrying a saw in the back of the landy when off roading ,and for weekend cutting i had a efco mt 370 a good saw in its own right . but when i upgraded to my 560xp the 370 just sits under the bench as a back up saw . the differance is night and day .
  5. i have a husky 560xp auto tune that loves their fuel mix xp power 2 . my efco also loves it buy my einhall brush cutter dosen't so that stays on good old pump fuel and cheep 2st mix . never tried the aspen so cant say about it .
  6. and they make lovely pets till they start crapping on your carpet .. oh sorry wrong husky . or is it ? to star my husky 560 i pull on the starter cord till it burps then put the choke in next pull its off running . now my other husky you pat its head then pull his tail till he barks pat his head again then i bet next pull of that tail hes off and running too.
  7. its one of those upside down back to front oh that'll do moments then .
  8. or is it like gillette they bring out a new razor and everytime reduce or cancel your old trusty chin cutter.
  9. yep nought like a bita lube in yer hole 😜
  10. i know it may be different from the 550 but on my 560 i regularly give the bearing a tiny tiny bit of grease through the hole in the crank then every 3-4 cleans i pull the clutch remove and clean the bearing and shaft . never been a problem also keeping your chain sharp means larger chips not dust .
  11. showing your age now with that comment.... when did Britain last build a British bike or car .
  12. well for me at the moment still only being a homeowner / sometimes tree feller. I started with a Efco mt370 ( little 37cc ) then after about a week wanted to upgrade so went up to a husky 560xp auto tune. now its sad to say but the week old Efco sits under the bench as a spare saw as i just prefer the way the husky feels in the cut. but to keep her good i will take her out and give her a run every month.

    Mini Saws

to be honest i cant see the point .. if im going to have to be kneeling down in wet mud and grass to use it why not just buy a pole saw less reaching and no kneeling in crap . just my thoughts .

    XP550

i would say that it could possibly be a clutch problem either oil contamination or wear or broken clutch springs the only way to find out is to take the side cover off and check as a start point .
  16. you may be right but thats what i thought with my crosser but when i measured things the skirt of the piston had worn in a oval under sizing it by only a few thou so every now and then it would come up uneven and the ring would bind .
  17. not if they are made by andrews according to this post . 😁
  18. thats ok my posts are all based on 99.9% just having a laugh and 0.1 % bite back at those who cant have a laugh .
  19. im only jealous as you still have more friends than me . 😪
  20. been using my husky functionals for about 3 months in all weathers mud and crap just give them a wipe off and light dry out been ok so far . last pair of boots i had i trashed by trying to dry them near the heater lesson learned .
  21. could the piston be too small for the bore so under compresion it sometimes comes up on a cant and part bind's ? have had this on a crosser before thats why i ask .
  22. i have also found letting it idle for a short min befor shutting it off also helps as your letting its brain realize its not under load .
  23. well when it was Borris we knew it was proberbly a lie but when he got it right we all said good job . now they are changing faster than the British weather. and saying it was planned yeh ok can you at least put some lipstick on as i like to be kissed before i get fooked.
