  1. could it just be something as simple as a weak ring and getting bypass ?
  2. 1939 - 1945 slight hickup there then .
  3. im running a 300w from halfords and as said it does just fine also all welding with engine running done with parts off the car . and yes it copes when you can 12v weld with just 2 batterys linked .
  4. i wouldnt say that as i have a 300w inverter that i run my small arc welder off of when the crap hits the fan and i break a stearing knuckle off roading . it just needs the engine running on tick over to keep up and thats on 225 rods .
  5. when i started i bought a cheep 45cc gardenline from aldi for £90 the pizza parlor next to me bought it off me 3 months ago to cut wood for his oven he has used it regular and its still going strong .
  6. the benefit is he is already running his engine whilst driving to the job . and as most alternators once they hit a certain volt/amps are just wasting energy this would actually make it more efficient .
  7. sorry just seen your home charger needs 250 watts . but even then the 300 watt inverter still works out half the price of the husky car charger .
  8. or you can try one of these and take your home charger with you . just make sure you get the one with the ciggi plug on it . 12v 150w Inverter with 2A USB | Halfords UK WWW.HALFORDS.COM Shop the latest The 12v 150w Inverter with 2A USB is great to use on lots of different equipment rated up to 150w. at Halfords UK
  9. im glad he didnt say first put some lube on your nipple then slip the rubber on .
  10. i would hope his dealer gave him discount as if he orderd and paid for the full build last year its not his fault that they couldnt supply it till now so why should he pay for any increases . now they should also return the price of the bar and chain . well thats my thoughts only you may differ .
  11. i started with the origon guide but later moved to the husky .325 guide as it fits in the pocket nice and eazy .
  12. out in the field i hand file but if i realy bugger the chain i also have a faithfull grinder cost me £29 off fleabay for the big touch ups .
  13. fr jones are saying to use a 3.2 1/8 file just to comfuse more . Husqvarna X-CUT SP21G .325″ .043 semi chisel chainsaw chain loop – FR Jones & Son WWW.FRJONESANDSON.CO.UK
  14. another place to watch what you buy is facebook marketplace . as the faker's seem to be putting a lot on there now as you dont have the same protection as ebay ect.
  15. not yet but may take a few as its orderd from the land of the yank tank . and we all know that things get slow over there depending on how many burger joints the postie has to pass .
  16. to be honest im not a fan of these big spikes all i need spike wise is for them to help guide the bar not rip into the stump as you might put more strain on the chain and engine .
  17. thanks gents for your help order placed .
  18. does any of you good chaps out there know if i can get a full wrap handle bar for the 560xp in the uk . thanks in advance . cheers chaps and chapese
  19. erm may be a stupid question but are you missing the wear plate from the chain guide? the backing plate behind your studs ? also a treick i had to do on my 560 x-force bar was to open up the oil holes a bit as they are les than half the size of the oil holes on a origon bar now i get plenty of oil to my bar .
  20. hey my cocker spaniels got tits but she has never caused me problems . infact if i could teach her to use the dishwasher i could do away with the wife.
  21. would that be because its the council (gov.) stopping him from tree care or removal . now if the roots are lifting my drive or branches from said tree have fallen on my car because they are saying i cant cut it back they are then in my eyes liable like if i was a estate owner where a branch fell and injured a member of the public im responcable.
  22. titan are screwfix own but come on i took a electric saw to a jobsite in the middle of the woods i needed to go back buy a geny and some petrol . should have just bought a gas saw in the first place.😁
  23. i would also look down the lines of getting the council to cover the cost of remedial repairs to the property caused by the root inclusion and also if they are saying you cant trim it to remove some of the weight getting them out on a regular basis to do it under their duty of care . once it starts costing them money they soon take another look i had this when a friend asked if i could do something with a old oak that had already caused damage to his property . yes it took a few years but they have repaired his property 3 times paid for damage 2 times and are now planning a removal .
  24. first i would find out what dealers you have local to you as if you buy sthil and your surrounded by husky dealers you may have problems getting parts. second i would take the time to visit a few saw shops and get your hands on different saws you will soon tell how well the saw is going to feel in the hand , as when you start using it for 2 hours it might look good but feel crap . third i would check see what the maximum bar length your trainer will allow as most around me are only training with a maximum 15'' bar . hope this is of some help .
