  1. You probably could if you went slow and gentle, but that's really getting into 880 territory. 42" is about the limit for a 660. Off the shelf 48" bar and chain will be .404 so you'll need a new sprocket too.
  2. 365 and 372 are the same chassis, largely identical.
  3. Needs a high top air filter and a full wrap. ?
  4. Bear in mind energy efficiency between engines and motors. 212 batteries will cut much more than 10L. Electric motors, especially brushless ones, are highly efficient.
  5. Yeah, i bought it for milling mostly. Only used it a few times to cut large stumps low and ring up a big conifer. Feels like a workout ringing up with it!
  6. Replacing some driveshaft bearings in a stump grinder today. Couldn't be bothered to do it on-site, loaded it on the van and took it home. Found more shagged bearings so not finished yet. ☹
  7. You got these photos? I've only seen one from their official announcement, can't see much, just someone cutting with it. Shame it's a damn year away, i want one now!
  8. Oh i see. So how did it come about getting to test it? Did they contact you with a request to test it under condition of privacy? Very cool getting to play with one for months, while other people were still speculating on what it'd be like. Yeah, i've not used an 880, only my 3120 but that's far from run in and quite underwhelming at the moment, only had about 3 tanks through it. Would like to have a go with one that size with the additional performance. You better get two then, we all know swapping bars is bullshit. ?
  9. For good reason. It's a brilliant saw. I recently bought a used 550 MK II, only used it once but seems just as good. Very light, manoeuvreable, powerful. I'm all for the new Autotune/M-Tronic and other associated advances. Looking forward to seeing Husqvarna's new 90cc-class saw when there's more info.
  10. Wonder why they didn't use a new one for their video. ? Not big on Stihls, but it is tempting if its performance is as good as you say it is.
  11. On the subject of electric saws, i'd like one of those old Stihl 3-phase saws. What a monster, i bet the torque is unreal.
  12. I agree. Have one, love it, would most definitely buy another. 20" bar on it and it'll rip through anything you throw at it. Beautiful saws, great to use.
  13. Nope. Autotune, better AV, better ergonomics, more power. I love the ease of use of the new saws. I'd much rather have a 562/572.
  14. I have two 9" corded grinders and they're bulky heavy things, not much fun to use. I imagine one with a battery hanging off its arse is only going to be more heavy, more bulky and worse to use.
  15. You definitely want the 3120 over a Stihl? The new 881s are £1,500 i think. Or what about importing one, like the guy in Canada who sells them?
  16. Seems a bit suspect, if you add to cart then go to checkout it says "Estimate shipping and tax" and asks for "state/province". The address is the same as a place called David Dixon Garden Machinery. Different phone number though. Dixons list the 3120 on their site, £1,500.
  17. It was like that when i looked 6 months ago.
  18. They're all sold out here, but still available elsewhere. Easily available from the US and Canada still. Spoke to a mate about getting some from Eastern Europe the other day, without import duty. But need to see if we can get a reliable supplier.
  19. I came across that site when looking for my 395 and 3120. Seemed too good to be true, since they were cheap and everyone else had sold out.
  20. It's not that hard to beat - buy a Swedish Husqvarna! ?
  21. Depends where you look. I'm sure they're readily available in other markets. I've been looking at what's available in various markets and there's loads of saws avsilable that are no longer sold here due to emissions. Just the cost of sending it over and import duty. But since their purchase price is cheap it likely works out the same. I've seen pics of 500is with full wrap. Apparently the part number is 1147 790 3701, but not 100% on that.
  22. Oooh! Whereabouts? I'm near Brent Cross and need a job. ?
  23. They have XP in stock, but not XPG by the looks of it.
