I've used it before and had no issues at all, just bought another bottle. Seems thinner than some other oils but fairly tacky. Last i used was some Husqvarna stuff which looked like honey and is quite thick, doesn't flow out the combi can very quickly. I think 25L of Oregon red is about 45 quid, so a little cheaper than Stihl Synthplus. I'm sure the self-sharpening mechanism can be removed, then just fit a standard chain and sharpen with a file. Apparently the standard chain is ⅜" .050 62DL. Don't see a need to change the bar, only the chain.

As far as i know the Terra-Vac is basically that on steroids. I believe they were designed for picking up manure and the like. My mate has one, the size you tow behind a ride-on mower. I've not used it yet as it's missing the hose, but they seem to be quite effective from what i've read. Unfortunately the high-velocity chip discharge cannon you want is not is not standard-fit, but would make a great project. ? "If you want chip you're a willing recipient. If you don't want chip you're an unwilling recipient!" ?

I remember years ago when i was a kid my dad had a few handguns for target shooting. Only one i remember seeing was a Browning Hi-Power. He had an FN FAL too, but i don't think i ever saw it. We always thought he got into target shooting for the sport, he won a couple championships. Turns out it was after his house was broken into, he was robbed, beaten up and stabbed, so he got a 9mm "just hoping they'd come back" ?

I am both, yet simultaneously neither. ? Youtube has taught me not to operate a chainsaw from a ladder. So many "chainsaw fail" videos involve ladders, and limbs swinging round and knocking them from under people.

It's the principle of it. There are plenty of legitimate ways to dispose of arb waste, fly tipping any waste on someone's property is a scumbag move.

I don't think it's been used much, it's definitely not been cleaned much! The bottom of it has few marks and it's overall in good condition. It's a 2019 too. If it didn't start so easy it'd be on eBay now. But instead i have a new plug on the way and am unsure what to do. ?

Yes, that's exactly right. Just like chainsaw trousers they're full of fibrous "wadding" that the chain picks up, drags into the clutch assembly and jams the saw to stop it. It's remarkably effective to see in action. You will still get cut but the damage done will be much reduced.

Today's excitement was cleaning up my used 550XP. Bought it a few weeks ago, lovely saw and very light, compact and nimble. However, unlike its bigger sister it took a fair few pulls to start, even once warm. Once the 572's warmed up one good drop start and she's off. Even cold she starts quick, so was a little disappointed by the 550. With money being tight i thought i'd clean it up and sell it. I could buy another later on anyway. I've only used it once and it's lovely to use. Cleaned a ton of gunk out, took the exhaust off, piston and cylinder look good, cleaned up the worn paint off the bar. Took the plug out and found it all gunked up and filthy. Gave that a good clean and now she starts easy. Once warm she starts with a single good pull like the 572. Now i'm not sure if i should keep or sell.. ?

Ummm, i haven't tried personally. Although a few weeks ago i saw a mate of mine have a kickback, open his forearm up and come ¾" from cutting his artery and dying up a tree. He went to hospital by ambulance and got 26 stitches. You can get chainsaw boots, in varying levels of comfort.

How can you not own a pair of wellies? ? I have some steel toe Dunlops, and a matching pair of riggers. Used to wear them with my wet weather gear when i worked for the AA. (The other AA.) Most comfy boots i've ever found are Puma Caminar GTX. If i could still get them i'd buy all that i could. These are about a week old, i have another pair new in a box. I'll cry real tears when they're all worn out.
