  1. 15 today. The sun is shining, crows to chase and there'll be hares to rampoozle after on the Moor tonight, happy days.
  2. Just trying to get a better idea of who you are really, I'm reading a lot of your opinions lately. What did you do as a Bioscientist? I don't know what that is I'm afraid.
  3. Welcome back! As you're here, interested to find out what science you do, or have done?
  4. Thanks for that. It's almost a daily occurrence that someone tears the cable apart on the chipper lightboards, these are just what we need.
  5. @william127 Your wireless trailer lights sound interesting, never heard of them before. What do you have?
  6. You were quick to complain about bullying but walking a fine line yourself.
  7. How long since you met her?
  8. We did a big connie hedge, reduce top and tidy both sides was the spec. We were finishing the neighbours side which was actually on our customer's property (I'd tried to make contact but no answer) when our customer said they hoped it didn't cause an issue as they didn't get on and the hedge had always been a point of contention. I feared we'd be in the firing line when the neighbour found out, but discovered the neighbour had passed away 2 days previously! Customers can be wilfully vague about these things in advance.
  9. To be fair, all Mick's posts aren't saying the same thing.
  10. Sorry JC, I'm not trying to be confrontational, but why would people that believe Ivy is not a problem feel the need to control it anyway?
  11. Maybe the intention is to create two separate echo chambers so the believers can save the countryside from the Ivy menace untroubled by any disagreement. Makes little sense to have a thread (the "Ivy is NOT a problem" thread) where people can put forward ideas to control a problem they don't think exists.
  12. Hi Ross, it you haven't done so already it's worth getting in touch with local firms directly. What kind of work have you done in the past?
  13. That's impressive, great to have that reach and capability available.
  14. Very nice. Have you extended the chipper spout, and what does the crane lift at full extension like that?
  15. Removing flood debris from a bridge today, really enjoyed this job. Thought the lads were a bit sombre for a while though, just the odd comment, "grim job this" "we shouldn't have to do this" "we'll get counselling". All became clear when I got this from the boss saying the lads did a good job today, recovering my body from the river.

Was hoping someone else would try it! Did you get- What Para-Olympian won 6 gold medals at.....? A 1 B 2 C 3 D 6
  17. The death of one horse was mentioned quietly on TV news, before moving swiftly along to the important stuff like Fascinators and Kate Middleton knows a jockey.

It's good that I got British Citizenship by birth as I've taken 2 tests from your link and failed both. I was consistent at least! I'll be honest a lot of those questions make little sense to me, but good luck to you.
  19. Looks more like a Witches finger than a thorn
  20. We'll look forward to the "Oak too close to house, how dangerous is it?" thread.
  21. Ukrainian troops seem to be keeping their spirits up anyway
  22. I'm under the impression that ideally the aim is either "hot roof" or "cold roof". If the whole space is filled with insulation, with the the aim of displacing as much airspace as possible it's hot, but if there's any significant airspace left it's cold and needs to be ventilated. As has been said any trapped air will contain moisture.
  23. There has been Extinction Rebellion protests blocking tankers the last few days. Environmental protesters block oil terminals across UK | Environmental activism | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Activists climb on tankers and glue themselves to roads around...
