  1. hello, might be wise to check your switches behind the buttons or the relays. Try replicating the no-stress activation by not putting wood in it , run the rollers and lower the engine revs manually. I have qualified Timberwolf technicians who I can ask to talk to you if you like. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  2. I have the same issue with sending oil now . JCB used to do a 5ltr pack in foil , then a cardboard carton and then wrapped in cellophane . it was an easy sale and no issues with sending , especially with other items in another larger box. they stopped this packaging and now use the normal thin plastic container ,like everyone else does, with leaky lids so unable to dispatch now. If anyone knows of an oil supplier that does this old style please tell me. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  3. where are you based ?
  4. Rayco official note - RG25 the v belt is properly tensioned when 6.4 pounds of force at the centre of the span produces 0625’’ deflection, any use ? Gareth of Green Plant , Rayco dealership . 01483 235111
  5. sorry in the delay Tom , I lost my internet for most of yesterday. if you are thinking just an engine problem then firstly check the in-line fuel filter . If you can blow , in the direction of the arrow, through it without your cheeks puffing out then this is blocked , even if you can't see that it as blocked. You can also do this to the fuel pipe line from the tank. After that possibly stop solenoid , and worst case scenario water in the head. Just an egg cup worth of water can do this. Is it throwing out white smoke.? If you think its when you are chipping then look at relays , loose wires , belts and/or blocked chamber all that may cause the revs to drop , no-stress kicks in and engine to cut out. Gareth of Green Plant . I have qualified Timberwolf technicians who you can talk to. 01483 235111
  6. sounds like fuel or throttle . are you putting it up to full revs without any wood going near it and it still shuts off or is it doing it when chipping ? Gareth of Green Plant
  7. the 75/230 is the old (approx. 2003) machine. I have some qualified Timberwolf technicians you can talk to if it helps. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  8. Morning Chris, I can't see the reason for the weld spots. These anvils , including the one on the roller case , are designed to be turned . So just unbolt, turn and refit . If both sides are worn then replace but yours looks good to turn. Remember you are after the 2.5 - 3 mm gap from anvil to blade edge . Gareth of Green Plant
  9. Ok good you have been sorted. I am the Gareth that used to be at Spectrum Plant that was why I recognized who you were. Good luck Martin.
  10. yes mate you are being given correct info all round , the fans come as a weighted pair for balance ( usually written on in marker pen on each fan at Timberwolf ) . yes new bearings ,why wouldn't you if its stripped. Balance is important , we have a balancing jig at the depot but it can be done in situ . you can load up the fan bolts with washers or there are sometimes spare holes in the rotor wheel for extra bolts to aid the balance. Give the surface of the wheel a good clean as you don't want anything under the fans as you bolt them in coz this will create a weak spot. Gareth of Green Plant.
  11. Morning , where are you in the country ? I think with stumpgrinders you need a local agents to be close by for those emergency issues that happen just when you don't need them.
  12. Hi Martin is it ? you need to make sure that the two surfaces are clean on the taper lock outer surface and the inner surface on the pulley . but it sounds like the grub screws have not been tightened enough. Has the taper lock split ? If you need any more help I have qualified Timberwolf technicians you can talk to. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  13. Hi , that's unlucky to damage the chamber wall , usually they fly out the chute . I can help you with all of your questions , parts , catalogue pages etc. And we have depots that can look at and quote the job for you . And not too far from your location either. Genuine Timberwolf parts and qualified technicians. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  14. This is relevant to the whole Timberwolf range, Timberwolf recommend greasing the chute flange area to stop it wearing.
  15. Hi Charlie, yes this is a part that Timberwolf finally developed to help with this problem. the part number is 556 , shim at £6.50 call me on 01483 235111 or our webshop site is https://shop.greenplantuk.com - Gareth of Green Plant
  16. Give me a call as I would love to help you. Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  17. agreed , but if you have bought new blades and bolts ,and also the bushes and the only thing left to do is to remove the old blades , why go to the effort for £160 more, replace the bodies as well.a job that could take you all day (and lots of swearing). its a calculation to how much is your time worth. 3/4 hours tops all new or could be an all dayer or even 2. machine back at work in the afternoon.
  18. 2 hours is a great time . At £79 + vat each new roller body it is still a close run thing to some labour rates I here about for 2 hours work.
  19. They are really difficult to remove and I don't think there has been many successes with just heat and tools on the job. What you have to equate it to is your valued time for that job. If you work it out to your hourly labour rate you may find just buying new roller bodies , blades and bolts would be financially astute against welding nuts or bolts to them ,very time consuming in itself ,and there are 24 bolts to remove ? Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  20. Morning, yes you can upgrade to the new longer spline drive but will need to have the roller blades and body replaced as well (some early models had non-removable blades)as the blades slightly overhang the drive. The shim and motor is a separate issue , you probably now have a Parker motor fitted that replaced a White motor at some time . This replacement required the shim as the seating of the white motor in the box was different. But yes new set will fit better. Gareth of Green Plant , 01483 235111, www.shop.greenplant.com
  21. Green Plant genuine Timberwolf set of 3 belts £50 + vat
  22. Green Plant genuine Timberwolf cable is £67.20 inc vat
  23. You could have several potential issues going on here and there is a structure to the tests you can do to find and eliminate them. Your model should have a H.Box no stress unit and this has a fault code reading sequence . I can put you in touch with a qualified Timberwolf technician who you can talk to for advice. Call me Gareth of Green Plant 01483 235111
  24. You are talking here about something driving the hydraulic roller motors round quicker than normal, so possibly oil pressure or pump / belt issue - I have qualified Timberwolf technicians available that you can talk to if you would like ? call me on 01483 235111 Gareth of Green Plant
  25. I am pretty sure that the no-stress works from the alternator speed on this machine. My first reaction to your issue was the relay and holder connections are shorting out with the vibration. Or a roller bush is worn sufficiently to cause a debris build up /blockage to kick the no-stress in. I have qualified Timberwolf technicians you can talk to if needed.
