  2. Friday afternoon so you must be in the pub ??
  3. You could look at the other option and acquire a reasonable sized bandsaw mill and run that alongside doing firewood. You would need to sell slabs/timber and provide a cutting service to make that pay though.A few on here do it very successful but the area you live will be a big factor.
  4. Are you an old banger then spud ?????????????????????
  5. Guys are any of you running the A465 road heads of the valleys as looking for a few ton of larch or douglas fir and some mixed hardwood/softwoods and really am easy going depending what is available.

  8. Nothing living can withstand a good fire and some fun doing them in
  9. Put some petrol on it and set it on fire for a couple of minutes and then throw some water on so not to damage the timber.
  10. Are you using the new bandsaw mill much mark ?
  11. Not seen any posts off soul (roughy) in weeks so hope he is ok
  12. Tree is clearly a hazzard and needs sorting asap.Your away so not aware that its fallen and it needs clearing so the farmer gets it done at no cost to you which some would be more than happy with. These things happen in life and you now have the choice to pay the invoice for the job or leave the guy keep the wood which sounds reasonable to me.The tree guy was contacted and needs paying in some form. You could always contact your insurance company and explain the situation.
  13. I have a few customers who take a couple of ton a year which is the outside of the trees i mill,Makes up around 15/20 ton a year at most but gets rid of the unwanted wood and pays for fuel and a few beers along the way.Need a decent setup to go at it full time or access to free timber to turn a good profit i should think.
  14. Do a little a little bit of the fire wood as well to build up a customer base
  15. Shame life can be so cruel stubby.Daughter had all A stars in her exams today and the one person who would have been so proud would have been her Gran but we lost here 3 years ago to cancer and one of the nicest people i have ever known.

  17. 4 man team job then your innnnnnnnnn ?
  18. If i had to pick 2 guys to work with from the forum based on dry wit it would be you K and stubby toy.Days would be worth a million $ cheers les ??
  19. The difference in price of a nose and a new bar for the lifetime of it is a no brainer unless its a very expensive one.
  20. Yes thanks for your help as always rob.Just to add that we did this a couple of years ago and ended up using a 3/8 - 7 tooth sprocket to adapt from memory to a different GB bar.
  21. I had the k5 and that seems to be the one mark is describing
  22. You got a limiter on your pecker stubby ??
