  7. What models your broken stihl saw?
  8. Ratman

    Stihl 056 av

Is the cylinder defo knackered? You can get pistons ok but cylinders look scarce.
  9. Pass ?‍♂️ was a deep red coloured wood, tight grained and hard as owt. Struggled screwing in to it even, but burnt really well with loads of heat output.
  10. Na you shouldnt be having issues with only months old stuff. Does make you wonder if theyve changed the properties in their oil. Buy a small tub of stihl oil or husky oil whatever as a trail. If stihl oil run it in a stihl saw, if husky oil run it in a husky saw, just to narrow it down and count it out in your own mind. If working ok again using brand to brand, introduce in to another saw, narrow it down again. No persons with a grudge? I presume you have changed pickup filters like spuddog suggested, they can clog up pretty tightly some times, pence in the grand scheme of things to try.
  11. Possibly a how its stored / shelf life issue then. Maybe worth contacting oregon over it. What sort of age would you say it was? Is it a synthetic based bar oil or some of the eco biodegradable stuff?
  12. Do you think colder temperatures could be having an impact? Are you using a relatively new tub / barrel of chain oil which could suggest an issue at oregon’s end or is it a same existing supply you’ve been using for a while? I only use genuine stihl synth+ bar oil to which i’ve never had an issue. But i’m not using my saws daily either.
  13. Would av thought Nolan would take any excess off ya, hes in to chopping and splitting?.
  14. My brother did a bit of work for Chris but that would be 20ish years ago. Very good reputation round these parts too. Where you from OSM?
  15. It amazes me how animals adapt to situations, my mates mum rescues dogs and the amount of road accident encountered dogs shes took in that have suffered lost limbs, damaged eyes, ears ripped off etc and they STILL just battle on like theres nowt wrong, still remain loving and attentive at same time! She had one dog, bit like a sausage dog, lost a rear leg but because she was so long in the body, she struggled on walks to keep her back end up. So when on walks she had a little two wheeled cart that she used to get strapped to her back end [emoji23][emoji23] ace to see. Never bothered her at all, then round the house she just used to manage without, brilliant!!!
  16. As above Mark said by others, sorry to hear. Just mentioned it to my Mrs and straight away she suggested the chair. We’ve no experience of Dutchie’s prognosis but have heard of and seen dogs adapt well to the bailey chair with successful results, mainly seen on tv programmes, and on dog forums, but i’d go for it regardless, its an option at the end of the day and if it helps her to survive then its a winner!
  17. I struggle with knots, can’t seem to get them right.... ever!!! They always seem to turn out and operate like a noose ? I may put this in the gizmo section.... [emoji848] vesp, wana buy it?!
  18. Chris Ball yeah, Tom Dixon yeah (charcoal man), Gaz Haslam yeah, Arran Grundy yeah, all older than me but know of them, they may not know me but again may of heard of me. [emoji106]
  19. Drive some telegraph poles in to ground and make your floating obstacle to lay between them, then attach some galvanised ring brackets with rollers on em, they can then travel up / down ya poles depending on amount of water collected. Like floating jetties in harbours.
  20. You prob know Grant Ingham from Waddington, retired now, Bob Townson from Dunsop, also retired. Mick Bolton from Sawley, works with us in Garage.
