  1. Hey stubby, yeah i could get away with the blowing in to a pile scenario, which is fine for myself at home as i have a lot of flagged areas, but i often end up going round to my dads and clearing up after all his tree leaf falls [emoji30] his garden is far greater than mine and a lot more intricate too. I’ve looked at the billy goats you mention and makita etc. But being a stihl man [emoji6] i’ve also spotted the SH56C-E at £230 and for a little extra but with slightly better spec and accessories the SH86C-E at £255 so quite tempted ?‍♂️ like the added / built in mulcher function of them too, which obviously condenses the amount of crap retrieved etc which would stop daddy dearest also commenting that his green bin is full [emoji39] what ya think?
  2. Or attach this to trailer https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcR_8fFALvYSb-hlSvM3MKvCZIJ-HSRJU0gPQpBDvWuWxX0i8Rd0
  3. https://www.pfjones.co.uk/images/Towbar_accessories/Z52A.jpg One of these not work for ya?
  4. Is it a fixed tow hitch on trailer or does it swivel and activate like on a braked trailer?
  5. Safest and most legal solution is the lowering plate for the towbar, altering trailer a-frame etc could invalidate insurances etc. Pisser having to bolt on and off all time tho like ya say.
  6. Looking for a leaf vacuum capable of picking up majority of leaves, obviously some wet ones will and can be quite stubborn. Not bothered if petrol or battery, don’t really want electric with cable dragging everywhere. Was looking for something £200 ish any you can recommend?
  7. Just gone on ebay today if your still looking... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183499406550
  8. My Mrs is part ethnic... won’t tell ya what words came out of her mouth when she saw it on the tea time news [emoji37] good job it wasnt her he was sat next to on the plane, he’d be part of the planes window furniture on runway by now!
  9. Cheers MATE [emoji30]
  10. Chuffing hell Gaz, theres five different brands there.... his heads gona be spinning [emoji39]
  11. Mr Storrs and Mr Hairy-Front, thanks for your suggestions on the ash vac, purchased one from Lidl today and have vacuumed my fireplace and fire with it already. REALLY impressed, small, compact, has a filter blow through function so keeps itself sucking at a proper decent rate. Didn’t fit the wheels, i have no need for them, wound the dog up a bit with the blow function too [emoji190][emoji39] would recommend to others too [emoji106]
  12. That was my jist felix, if his mate truly was a mate ?‍♂️
  13. If your MATE who rang you about the job in the first place was really a MATE then he would back you too, as you stated in your earlier posts that the job / price was discussed between the three of you, including certain conditions i.e to take down limb by limb as he didnt want ground damage. I’m with Felix, the bloke wants squeezing on it, call his bluff, stand your ground. And your comment about the workers overhearing you stating he doesnt want to pay should go ahead too.
  14. Used/borrowed the dewalt site lasers before now which are a good thing, but quite expensive to buy, and the dewalt distance lasers which i found hard work to get the hang of but they worked, but again theyre expensive. Nothing too conclusive there for ya soz, others may have better knowledge [emoji106]
  15. I’ve sworn at them whilst being stood by them if that counts? [emoji2]
  16. ??‍♂️ you and stubby sat together int ale house by any chance. [emoji6]
  17. Obviously the worst things you can put up a “vacuum” are, ash/soot, building dust/sawdust so just want something that can manage it all and not break prematurely, dont mind cleaning filters out if thats what it needs. [emoji106]
  18. Yeah yeah... blah blah... yada yada, a sucky upy thingy then stubby [emoji849]
  19. As title suggests really, have been using an old vax that we used to use for the cars etc but its getting tired and obviously isn’t really fit for purpose. Any one use or rate any specific types, brands etc?
  20. Chuffing 2nd hand prices prove your point spud, i’ve had my eyes peeled for quite a while but they just go for crazy amounts [emoji15]
  21. You fibber you.... i spot a stihl on the far left! [emoji6]
  22. Looks like you’ve just shit out eggs [emoji6] mr bolam may have a point ??
  23. I’m a stihl man only, and by no stretch am i a pro, but have cut a fair amount of wood in my short time. But there are plenty of guys on here that could prompt you in the right direction of husqvarna options if you wanted.
  24. 026 is about 2cc’s less than the newer ms260 i think, but i feel personally that the 026 is better made. I’d go for the 036/ms360 over the 034/ms340. Weight is negligible but more power is the obvious. I have a very clean 026C running an 18” bar with .325 chain which a few people on here say is too big realistically for that size of saw, but it works just fine for me and has cut up some decent sized stuff. Whats your budget? And do you favour Stihl only, or are you open to other brands?
