  1. I would check norcar if you want something that is problem free. I have worked with some Avant machines and we own two norcars. Avant feels much more plastic and every time that it goes in forest some piece falls off. But have to say that Avant is also more user comfortable and have wider list of attachments
  2. Well haecksler 4 arrived few days ago. I haven't ever used cs100 but two different Chinese machines and GTM 900, but compared to those the haecksler is totally different. Feeding hopper is big and very solid. Two rows of safety curtains block nicely back flying chips. Our machine is with 18hp engine and with that it eats easily 9cm branches. At worksite ground man can chip branches as they come down and there will not be big piles. I was little bit worried about fuel consumption but in real work it doesn't seem to be that bad. Filling up the tank is little bit pain but having a proper can helps a lot. Both feeding and output hoppers have safety switches what is nice safety feature. Blades seem to be very good quality but we will see how long they last.
  3. Some chip handling in 1ton bag. Surprisingly well can move just squeezing with log grab.
  4. Some reporting after 50h of use. Machine has been over all expections and it has become already everyday tool. Everything has been working as it should. Machine is not very complicated and doesn't have too much safety switches etc. but it's still safe to work. Machine is surprisingly stable to drive with load in rough terrain. Tracks leave some marks on grass but nothing severe. We had log grab and pelican bucket. Both of those work fine and the log grab seems to be better for tree work. For handling branches log grab works best when coming from above. Grab opens about 80cm so pretty close for small hanging style grab. Only thing what is not so ideal in this machine is its maintenance because everything has been packed so well. For example adding hydraulic oil is trough pump in take hose.
  5. Manufacturer has also bigger backplate there if asked. I just had some word of that because I was thinkin that tracks need some protection on back. We have seen now that in some position your shoe touch the tracks and thats not very pleasant.
  6. Has there become any improvements to machine other than its looks? Also just thinking is blades position adjustable? Just have read that blade angels are usually very specific to feeding works how it should and when blade is sharpened that should have effect to feeding I think.
  7. Hi Maybe for a millions time I am considering of buying a chipper. I have looked haecksler 4 and I think that would be great for our job. But it looks almost identical to other Chinese chippers but have pricetag 3X of others. I have used one cheap chinese chipper and it was terrified but it also was rental and prety bad condition. Just thinkin is haecksler really worth of extra money because you can get example Jansen 1500 about half of that.
  8. Haecksler trolley have little rods in the end of arms. We use those 1m3 bags whit that and it keeps the nicely open when the bag hangs from those rods.
  9. Hi Do you have any operators manual or similar to send? Our machine should arrive in few weeks and I heard that manual's are written in France so I would like to start translating those before it arrives.
  10. I have used Sena now about 5 years in arb work. Earlier I used S20 but now I have been using sf4 about half a year. What comes to Sena as a company I think they are pretty good of what they are doing. Products are good and support is very fast and knowing. My preference is some model with newer dock because only problem that I have had whit these are connections between helmet and the unit. Older dock that S20 k30 S10 and many others use is too complicated for arb work. Lots of little connection plates in such a direction that water gets to those. Also earlier mentioned are little bit too big. Sf4 is nice compact and seems to bee more robust option. I have now fitted 6 of those to my crew and only limitation that has come is that they are made for 4 person conversation max. There are ways to go around that but if you don't need more than 4 at the same time then I would take sf4
  11. Probably snow covers bolt places. Cover comes on lower part of air intake and prevent it blowing snow in to the airfilter when you place saw down in snow
  12. Hi Does anyone use microbull at treecare or forestry jobs? If so how it have been working. How much maintance needed and have you find something what is just design wrong. Allso intrested about used ones if anyone knows where to find those
  13. Have been using atrax now about year and it's have been best rope I ever had. Using it whit ZZ and ropewrench and hitch. Core has not moved at all and outside of the rope is still looking ok
  14. ArbPro Quick Step Foot Ascender | Honey Brothers HONEYBROS.COM ArbPro Quick Step Foot Ascender from the UK's leading Arborist supply company, Honey Brothers tree surgery and arbourist supplies trusted around the world
  15. Arbpro/CT makes on what is possible to put on directly to some shoes and whit bracket to spikes
  16. Have same problem whit many Oregon bars, but all with bigger saws. Usually result of heating bar too much when cutting stumps etc
  17. Are you using it whit hitch or mechanicals? Planing to use it whit ZZ
  18. Any users feedback from this rope?
  19. Chinese batteries can be found in AliExpress and eBay
  20. I have used husky about 2 years now and I like it a lot. Pruning goes with out any problems and some small fells too. There are still some problems too. About after a year we needed to replace whole saw after it didn't work any more. We found out that it got moisture inside and that broke electronics. Second problem is cold weather. In Finland winters are below -5 usually every day and that makes battery's last about 3 cuts. It helps little bit if you store battery's in cars warm side (cabinet) on workdays. After -15 saw usually doesn't even start, it just shows a red blinking light. No experience about Stihl.
  21. HVA 540 had really bad oiling for the bar. I took saw a little bit apart and found this. Oil pump intake and output tube was splitted in half. Having exactly same issue with second 540 so it's next on the line.
  22. Using Sena S20 on protos. Works well but connections between unit and dock needs litle care sometimes. But 10r is probably best choice
  23. Zing it works great. Also used 200meter coil of notch acculine and it doesn't work well. Snaps almost every throw after few months of use.
