  1. There was only one piece of spongy about the size of a cigarette packet in the whole log. The wood is very solid, just discolouration. [emoji106]
  2. Nearly all the brown oak I’ve cut in the last few months has been snapped up by a specialist timber merchant. Remember most clients don’t actually care about the species, it’s about the colour and grain pattern. Which is why I’m looking for burred poplar. [emoji6][emoji106]
  3. That’s character mate! [emoji6]🤣🤣🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. Yeah, about 6 hours including setting first cut, and loading into the van. Had to deliver it this afternoon. [emoji106]
  5. Don’t fancy that with the transit. Might have to pass. Bloody lovely log that though! [emoji106]
  6. Last few bits of brown oak today. [emoji106]
  7. Cut it in half. Half on truck ,half on trailer. [emoji106]
  8. Personal preference no oil, bare wood. If pushed, tung bean oil. [emoji106]
  9. Can you load it if I come with a van or trailer? [emoji106]
  10. This could be possible. 07376803384 Saul [emoji106]
  11. Plastic chain grinders are junk. Totally inaccurate.
  12. It’s GB bars. They measure the full length, not just the cutting end. Check with Rob.d fir the cut of the 64” [emoji106]
  13. It will. But you’d need the 64” bar combo. I’ve got the 54/56”? and it’ll cut 42” [emoji106]
  14. You’ll need the 80” panther for those sizes mate [emoji106]
  15. That’s desirable mate. A client came over this morning, reserved that whole log and 3 more. Wasn’t interested in the plain oak. [emoji848][emoji106]
  16. Got the stihl ms881 on the 60” panther mill today. With the Oregon full skip chain from Rob.d Sweet cutting this 10’ x 28” English oak. [emoji106]
  17. Hi Samantha, As others have said, think you dodged a bullet there darling. Yes what he said is completely discriminatory and illegal. However you’ve handled it in a very reasonable and professional manner. Keep going. You’ll find some decent types. Also. I’d like to offer you a free 3 day course. Day one maintenance Day two cross cutting Day three milling. You’ll need your own ppe ,transport and accommodation. I will supply all other equipment. 07376803384 Saul [emoji106]
  18. Sprocket, bar and chain must use the same gauge and pitch. Unless it’s a duromatic/hard tip bar. Then you can use any pitch if you have a sprocket to match, and the gauge is the same. [emoji106]
  19. Photos please 🤣[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  20. She’s a heart melter! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  21. You sure about those dimensions Stephen? [emoji848]
  22. No Spuddog’s. Big burred elm, huge olive ash... 🥲🥲🥲🤣[emoji106]
