  1. How many tirfors you got? Ryobi? Why? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  2. These emissions laws will only effect North American and European continents. Remember you can still buy a new 051 and an 070 in some countries. Already a convert to auto tune/mtronic. Just have to remember to clean the air filter regularly. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. Personally, if they were mine. I'd bandsaw 4" slabs, Takes longer to dry, less likely to crack or warp. Then cut again when seasoned so if the faces crack you still have a good face on each. Or ask@se7enthdevil Beautiful looking wood mate. [emoji106]
  4. Used to get up two hours before bedtime... Father would flog us wi broken glass... And we were the lucky ones... [emoji23][emoji12][emoji106]

    Snow

Wife showed me this. Best use of snow I've seen. [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. That's a nasty case of grockles [emoji12][emoji106]
  7. Good question Andy, As there wasn't much cut off, the value is almost the same. However the desirability is affected, If you want straight board you can trim it, if you want waney you'd look elsewhere. So a bigger mill is in the planning stages. Personally I prefer waney edge, but I'm warming to the resin river tables. [emoji106]
  8. Go for 20% it's much easier and quicker. A poly tunnel full of stacked ibc's would probably season in a good summer. [emoji106]
  9. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  10. These slabs will be for sale in a few months. Pm me for details. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. This weeks work [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  12. To be fair I've only cut 3 discos with one, on a 20"bar. It was lightweight and fast, I was wrongly informed that it would only take a 20" bar. If I hadn't bought a 461 I'd probably get a 462. The husky 346(I think) was a really reliable saw.(sometimes the only husky which worked[emoji12]). 560xp, hmmmm... Get a yellow sticker for it(see spud) [emoji848][emoji57][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  13. I've owned loads of big, old, heavy, Slow, loud, shaky saws. Don't want to start collecting, I need a work horse of unparalleled power. [emoji12][emoji106]
  14. Over priced, probably knackered. You could buy it all new for less. [emoji51]
  15. Thanks outinthewood, very interesting. If I get it, might need to have a chat about parts if your willing to part with them. [emoji106]
  16. @wonky just sent me this, Ported 090 [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  17. Been maxing out the mill at 105cm quite a bit over the last few months. Going to have to go a lot bigger. My 880 is a good girl at that size but I'd worry about running a 180cm bar with it milling. I'd prefer not to go down the double powerhead route. So I'm looking to make a monster saw for a monster mill. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  18. Thanks Ratman, Can you find the 10cubic inch big bore kit?[emoji848] Need more power[emoji12][emoji106][emoji106]
  19. Lsengineers have an 090 oem pot and piston advertised at £178 Not in stock... I'm reading things about a 10cubic inch p&p on tinternet, 72mm I think. Anyone ever heard/seen these?
  20. They aren't made to the same tolerance Lower compression, not worth it for me.
  21. Not worried about the exhaust, as it will be going on a mill. It's the extra torque and rpm I'm after. Do stihl sell a big bore kit? Or more likely something non oem?
  22. I know stihl made five 070/090's with 156cc engines, ported with big a big exhaust. Could it be done again? [emoji848][emoji57][emoji3][emoji106] A new oem top end for an 090 is £380 on eBay. Or is there another option?
