  1. Big oak takedowns today. Apologies for the length of video. The last 30 seconds are the action. [emoji106]
  2. Yesterday evening the boss forgot a 362 on site. Not there this morning. He was pissed off. Shit happens. About 11 o'clock this morning a bloke pulls up gets out holding a 362. My mate found this here last night he said before driving off. The mate, came over at midday. He got thanked profusely and drinks were paid for. [emoji3][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. (The river in Paris is called the seine, breasts in French are sein. Similar pronunciation) [emoji23][emoji106]
  4. I worked on a boat in Paris when a lot younger. To find it on my first day, I walked into the nearest tourist office and asked "Ou est les sein?" Got a funny look from the lady behind the counter. [emoji12][emoji106]
  5. I love my landy. My mates sent me this though. [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Difflock, if you're into growing peaches. Have a look on google images for the peach walls of Paris. It's mental. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  7. Pollard at 4'. Pop back annually to give it a haircut with the hedge trimmers. Until it rots and falls over. [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  8. Caution for herbal, 20 years ago. Nothing came up on my enhanced dbs 6 months ago. However I got stopped a few years back and it came up. [emoji848][emoji106]
  9. Rent/borrow the biggest heaviest vehicle, preferably on tracks you can find with Heavy steel cable or chains. Just rip them out and drag away. Then when individual chop up. [emoji106]
  10. What did I miss? Have matelot and vesp returned? [emoji12][emoji106]
  11. I saw two dragons fighting over a figure.[emoji85] How about several hundred quids worth of resin? [emoji106]
  12. That's art. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  13. You've got my number now Ryan, Text me yours and I'll let you know when I'm driving north. I've got an off road 4x4 and winch, Tirfor, ropes and big saws. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  14. I'll be up your way in about 3 months. Put me down for a days volunteering. Or give me a call for advice. Saul 07376803384
  15. Steve bullman, You know me better than that. I'm not throwing insults or swearing. As several longstanding foresters have already pointed out, the "two volunteers" if qualified would easily explain how a dynamic risk assessment and method statement should be planned. Something's not right here. I'll say no more. [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
  16. You've completely misunderstood my point John. Are you aware of the amount of cowboys and charlatans on Arbtalk. I've met a couple. As for the thread in question, I stand by everything I've said. How can someone who knows nothing of our trade write a rams for one of the most dangerous activities in Arb. I don't write rams for low level flying??? Or construction. Encouraging this type of behaviour is reckless to say the least. I'm not trolling, I'm pointing out that it's dangerous and potentially lethal. The OP should not be writing rams for this job.
  17. But you tell me so much... So let me explain my comment. For every single saw ticket you complete, there is several pages about risk assessment and method. If you're "highly trained" volunteers have the correct tickets and experience, they should know everything you have asked. And as for a complete amateur coming onto a professional arborist website and asking highly suspicious questions. Yes one of us is a helmet/cowboy. [emoji3][emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  18. Big trek. I'm looking for something a bit more local to Huddersfield. [emoji106]
  19. Where you based?
  20. What do you charge for the b+e exam?
  21. Kerb weight of 2020kg [emoji106] Need a bigger trailer [emoji106]
  22. Cheers bud, I passed my driving test Feb last year, Had some bad experiences as a kid in vehicles. Bought my first ride 1st march 18. Would still be curious to know how much I can legally tow behind a disco2 with only a b license [emoji106]
  23. Both my driving instructors (Of 30+yrs exp) swore blind I wouldn't be allowed to tow any form of trailer without the B+E.[emoji848] So with a B license and a 2.5ton Discovery what can I tow with brakes? [emoji106]
  24. Ask your 2 "highly qualified volunteers "[emoji848] They should have all the answers you need.[emoji23] Or qualified but completely inexperienced?[emoji57] Maybe get a professional who is experienced? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  25. Serious chipper[emoji3][emoji106] Does it have a winch to feed? What did you pay in the end? [emoji106]
