  1. New arrival today, Latest member of the team.... [emoji3][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  2. The left log is the one I already milled. The big crotch is on the far right. [emoji106]
  3. That's just a little bit. The main crotch is much bigger. Probably mill at 2.5" [emoji106]
  4. How thick you need it?
  5. I haven't measured it, but it's very approximately 5' x 4'. But there's a rot pocket and the whole thing is a weird shape. Might only get two or three boards. [emoji106]
  6. I've got one centre slab, but I'm trying to hold onto it. However, I have the main crotch from the same tree, and it's quite large. Got a few smaller bits for coffee tables. You thinking skittles Steve?
  7. This is made from the Elm. Made by local furniture maker. Colours come up real well. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  8. Because the chain cools and contracts after milling. I've seen a bent crankshaft from over tension then no de tension. If your lucky it'll just stretch the chain, leading to chain snapping. Check your links for lateral play. [emoji106]
  9. Meanwhile in Jerusalem... [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
  10. Advertising on here in the employment section works well. [emoji106]
  11. Couldn't help myself. [emoji51][emoji23][emoji12][emoji848][emoji106]
  12. Spiritual guidance... Is that another way of saying: "My imaginary friend thinks you should behave like this". [emoji51]
  13. #act of god? [emoji12][emoji51][emoji848]
  14. To avoid tensioning problems on a duromatic bar. Set the saw up, run on medium and high revs for 1 minute. Re-tension and away you go. Remember to un-tension after milling. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  15. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Oh scotsy, Have you ever read any history of the French empire? Lots of genocide across the globe. [emoji849][emoji848]
  16. French paedophile hq burns down. Act of god? [emoji12][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  17. My parents bought a derelict barn in the early 80's. My parents and 3 kids (5-8) Lived in a small 2 bed static for 2 years whilst the barn was renovated. It was a bit grim in winter, but when the barn was finished and we moved in, It was like living in a castle in comparison. It's a long journey but worth it. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  18. It's France, a large percentage of the manual workers are half cut/topped up by 8am. [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
  19. Thank you Craig. That's very helpful. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] Need to do a trailer exam. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  20. So clearly I'm not understanding the whole shebang. [emoji51] In plain English could one of the towing instructors/examiners please explain towing on a b license. What exactly is MAM and all the other acronyms? Plated? [emoji106]
  21. How? [emoji51]
  22. Sorry bud. [emoji51]
  23. Ok now I'm really confused. [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
  24. Possibly... Mount a four way log wedge pointing upwards in a big log. Put hazel on top, little bash with a mallet. No hatchet wounds. [emoji106]
