  1. Dropped off some tiger striped centre boards. Medular madness[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  2. Look at you and your posh walnut.[emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] That's got real nice grain. [emoji106]
  3. I think the future is spider mewps and grapple saws. [emoji106]
  4. Any decent grinder will not be cheap. I use a stihl HOS and it's superbly accurate. Manually fed though, so its slow. An automatic machine for 25"-84" chains would pay for itself in about 6-12months. I lose a day every six weeks to grinding. [emoji106]
  5. Ford transit tipper! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. I'd love to see your rig. Any photos? [emoji106]
  7. Yes. Loads of ideas. Wood gas vehicles, Wood gas powered generators, Wood gas liquification, Petro chemicals (petrol, diesel, paraffin), and other distillates from wood gas. It's an incredibly energy dense resource. [emoji106]
  8. The disc grinders available are essential kit for milling chains. [emoji106]
  9. Thank you gentlemen, It's another school day here [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] I like the idea of "infused ash". [emoji12][emoji106]
  10. It's a non fungal infection. Thanks wedgebanger [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. Bolams right, Arbtalk has changed my world more than any single piece of kit. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  12. Yeah, Post loads of pictures of milled wood and kittens. Hope it gets forgotten... Thanks Ratty[emoji849][emoji12][emoji848][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  13. It's a fungal infection that changes the colour of the timber. That's spalting isn't it? And yeah, I would call it olive ash but most people don't know what that is. [emoji106]
  14. A good friend of mine buys cheap Korean engines to practice porting techniques. And yes, his ported Frankenstein 660 will out cut a stock 661. [emoji106]
  15. Last job of the day, Delivering a few slabs of the spalted Ash. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  16. This very happy client drove up from the midlands to collect some tiger striped oak boards and some 4" legs. [emoji106]
  17. Milled another spalted Ash log today. Loving these logs. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  18. Thanks mate, I've noticed a marked colour change the last couple of days. [emoji106]
  19. Depends who you ask. Personally I think most aftermarket components are absolute junk. Bought quite a range, it's crap. Bad engineering tolerances and low quality materials. Strictly OEM now. [emoji106]
  20. Fully automated? Yeah would be useful In the workshop. Keep us updated with developments. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  21. A big thank you to all of you who have offered kit. Really very kind and from complete strangers. You all know who you are. Thank you. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  22. Just an idea... How about a print out page explaining in simple language why AA is important to clients. With website etc. So when you give a quote you don't have to explain in detail. That way you have X thousand tree surgeons advertising for you for free each week AND the tree surgeons professional credibility and value is enhanced for 5p a time. Just an idea... [emoji106]
