  1. Went to a mother care for a professional fitting service and advice, was very helpful. Wow is this the first time Mother Care has bee mentioned on AT [emoji43]
  2. I have a hilux extra cab, and can fit both my boys car seats in the back and they are also 2 & 5 yrs old so am also doing a school/nursery runs in the mornings
  3. Yeah totally agree with Treeation. Also buy removing some dead wood you end up speeding up the decay on some of the bigger cuts, possibly
  4. Perhaps, might be something on the back if it’s come from a school or something or that crest on the front might mean something?
  5. No way that sign is the icing in the cake
  6. Scum bags absolutely no need whatsoever, there is plenty of recycling centres around that don’t cost the earth to go to

  8. No wouldn’t touch them as not as durable as the pros or harder wearing
  9. Have no idea on weight, but probably not the lightest boot on the market. I have been buying hiax boots for the last 9-10 years. But it just suits me and what I need, not everyone’s cuppa tea
  10. Hiax protector pro, good support and quite narrow good for climbing and the extra height gives good support when wearing spikes.

Treehog are the most uncomfortable spikes I’ve ever worn, after 6hrs on them you will be walking like John Wayne

You must be on double bubble today then [emoji857]
  13. I’ve always done everything by the book but to be honest it’s never done me any favours, might as well join the corrupt cutters. But my conscience couldn’t take it. We’ve have had no major fines here in our city to actually scare anyone or to make them think twice. I’ve only ever been approached a couple of times for a bit of weekend work and a bag of cash, buy property developers. There attitude is if you don’t want to do it we will find someone else, and unfortunately they always do get someone in by dangling that carrot. Think something has to change with the fines as it only takes a phone call or to look on the local council mapping system to see where the TPO/Conservation areas are.

    Spikes

Have just replaced my spikes 2 months ago with the Distel carbon ones, with Velcro tops and leather straps on the bottom. I think these are by far my most comfortable spikes I’ve ever owned.
  17. 3k in fines? That’s nothing. Local firm here does it every year and the most he got finned was £900. For felling a 150yr old beech tree in a protected woodland which went the wrong way and destroyed a 200yr old dry stone wall. Justs give the rest of the cowboys a green light to start hacking everything down. I was always under the impression that for removing a tree with a TPO on it the maximum fine would be up to 20k.
  18. No way, if a client is happy to employe someone who has absolutely no idea and probably no insurance let them crack on. But if it helped your conscience and get your job done then good for you guys. But as Steve said I would be concerned about how they would leave the garden/ driveway. As I’m very anal in my clearing up I always make sure it’s the last thing I check before leaving and the customer is happy.
  19. If you have the kit then use us, where is Aus are you kimtree
  20. Might be the sensor on the fly wheel? Or hydraulic pump?
  21. Think Bigtreedon is off there soon, maybe speak to him for some advice
  22. Jam your spanner or socket in it, I tend to use the extension bar from the socket set
  23. I always change the blade bolts every other time also
