    My hilux holds double than my original one with greedy boards and I have upgraded the springs to a 7 leaf, I paid around 12k for my truck and tipper conversion after 4 years it's still worth around 9-10k how many chip trucks hold there value like that [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    I bought the truck from a company called Watford commercials and they send them off to a local company to be converted. When I picked it up I was amazed at the job but on the road was a different story they left one windscreen wiper on the truck taken the tax disc out, I stopped to get fuel and thought wow this is thirty to find a hole on the neck of the fuel pipe, phoned them up and got no answer all day finally managed to get back home to plymouth. Monday morning put the kit and chipper on the truck and basically had no suspension left with half a load of woodchip on the suspension was completely gone. So got some 7 leaf springs from midland rd springs which have be brilliant. The garage itself said I could take it back to them to have a look at it and wouldn't let me get any quotes down here , really bad service all round but they have some pretty good trucks there.     Had for 3 1/2 yrs now and just the steel boxing looking a little worn so going to get that all touched up over the summer. Conversion was 2k and the company I bought the true from specialises in Arb conversions but I wouldn't use them again Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    If it's not electrics might be the hydrolic motor , or if the control box on top has got condensation in it we sometimes take it if and re do the terminals and spray in wd40 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Yeah the tea thing needs its own room the customer will offer and will reply " well if the kettle is on around 10ish that would be great " but the guys do say yes at times when it's an hour before lunch or an hour after lunch and when I'm up the tree I ain't get down for that cup but again will say we stop around 1 o'clock so that would be great. But if you refuse that first cup upon arriving when your trying to get stuff sorted out it can sometimes back fire and turn into a dry day Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Yeah definitely recommend the 7 leaf springs, got mine from midland rd springs around £360 I think but well worth it I raised the back up like a tonka truck but a few months of graft they beded down nice. My hilux is a 09 plate also. When I'm chipping we have to raise up the back to chip over the support bar and close the back doors also helps with less mess around the truck and chipper, every little helps [emoji57] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Had my chipper for 6yrs and has been great that's are some jobs where I have to maybe do 3-4 chip runs a day on some jobs but if it's labelled free people will take it[emoji6]I have access to trailers but don't ever use them. My chipper is a 2002 model with a Honda 24hp engine in it and the stress control system I updated a couple of years ago and still all going well but I've had the big 11ich greenmec behind my truck and still tows well Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
