  1. 30% for a 3 day job so I imagine it’s a few hundred quid?
  2. Fair enough if you need materials. But ripping a few trees out[emoji848]
  3. Hiax protector pro. Higher than most boots but great when in spikes all day, fairly narrow I find. Good all round boot imo.
  4. Okay we are talking about 3 days of Connie bashing. Truck, chipper, saws and climbing kit. All paid for unless finance still on truck/chipper. Still fail to see where a deposit would come in[emoji848]
  5. Yes the older generation are still in that mind set and try insisting you take a payment prior the job being done. Paid on completion in my mind
  6. Does anyone take a deposit before doing the job? Had a friend of mine get a quote but is being told he needs to give a deposit. Personally I’ve never seen or heard any company do this, as it’s not like materials need to be bought for the job, as the work can’t start until nesting is over. Interested to get your thoughts on this, thanks.
  7. Cool glad to hear it, shame a few of us smaller businesses aren’t closer together to help each other out and stay ticking over through the quieter months.
  8. Had the quietest spell in five years recently but sun is out and phone is ringing again, I always find start of spring slow due to nesting and sap rising. Chin up dan, might be worth just hanging on a bit as you never know what’s around the corner. But good luck to you.
  9. And I thought my hiax protector pros were high [emoji43]
  10. RCO, where are you?
  11. Noooo, you can’t fix something that isn’t broken [emoji6]
  12. If your still wanting to sell can you pm me a price you have in mind, thanks
  13. Yeah, his old hard hat bolted to the top of a stump grinder was a good un.I imagine that shed is like the ATeam Work shop[emoji1598]
  14. Bob that’s brilliant, and you even have an aspen blue boat, is there anything you don’t have?
  15. I’m in Plymouth
  16. Maybe his insurance will pay out
  17. Good chap for posting it to show others, like Steve said could of been a lot worse. Agree with felix also as communication is a huge part of the job, no matter how big or small the job is.
  18. That’s a nice little splitter, I would be very interested? You can always pm me .
  19. Did you go to Germany? If so how easy was it to organise kit , accommodation etc?
  20. Don are they clumps if mistletoe ?
  21. Had my truck for 4&1/2yrs now and all good, have got the extra cab also so I can get my boys car seats in. Mine is on a 09 plate but is still running nice. Got my leaf springs from Midland road springs.
  22. I’ve got a chip box on the back of mine but had to upgrade the leaf springs as the standard ones weren’t great when towing and with a load on
  23. Get a Dolmar or echo much less complicated
  24. What’s the truck going to be used for?
  25. Bob has summed this up in a nut shell.
