  1. What a load of BS [emoji849]
  2. Try Max Bayles as Bovey Tracey, or Hi-Line are based at Exeter?
  3. Yup, wolf pole set is definitely value for money, and the bypass loppers does leave a good clean cut and the swivel head helps also. Had mine for 9 years now.
  4. Will it all not go on record?
  5. No, no story to it was just the quote he received by email. Told him to ring a couple of others
  6. 30% for a 3 day job so I imagine it’s a few hundred quid?
  7. Fair enough if you need materials. But ripping a few trees out[emoji848]
  8. Hiax protector pro. Higher than most boots but great when in spikes all day, fairly narrow I find. Good all round boot imo.
  9. Okay we are talking about 3 days of Connie bashing. Truck, chipper, saws and climbing kit. All paid for unless finance still on truck/chipper. Still fail to see where a deposit would come in[emoji848]
  10. Yes the older generation are still in that mind set and try insisting you take a payment prior the job being done. Paid on completion in my mind
  11. Does anyone take a deposit before doing the job? Had a friend of mine get a quote but is being told he needs to give a deposit. Personally I’ve never seen or heard any company do this, as it’s not like materials need to be bought for the job, as the work can’t start until nesting is over. Interested to get your thoughts on this, thanks.
  12. Cool glad to hear it, shame a few of us smaller businesses aren’t closer together to help each other out and stay ticking over through the quieter months.
  13. Had the quietest spell in five years recently but sun is out and phone is ringing again, I always find start of spring slow due to nesting and sap rising. Chin up dan, might be worth just hanging on a bit as you never know what’s around the corner. But good luck to you.
  14. And I thought my hiax protector pros were high [emoji43]
  15. RCO, where are you?
  16. Noooo, you can’t fix something that isn’t broken [emoji6]
  17. If your still wanting to sell can you pm me a price you have in mind, thanks
  18. Yeah, his old hard hat bolted to the top of a stump grinder was a good un.I imagine that shed is like the ATeam Work shop[emoji1598]
  19. Bob that’s brilliant, and you even have an aspen blue boat, is there anything you don’t have?
  20. Maybe his insurance will pay out
  21. Good chap for posting it to show others, like Steve said could of been a lot worse. Agree with felix also as communication is a huge part of the job, no matter how big or small the job is.
