  1. I’ve also got the 22t Rock Road Tow that can be used in both positions. Yet to have a log it won’t split.
  2. You get very warm Splitting as well to be fair. You're constantly moving and you still have to bring the logs to the splitter. The Hookeroon takes the bending to pick the logs up outta the equation, hook and swing up the Splitter. After two lower back surgeries Ive very conscious about posture and there's no bending over the splitter. I appreciate some like split by hand but its really not for me. After an hour of manual splitting the paltry amount of split logs in the pile in comparison to a Petrol Splitter with a 4 or 6 way head sucks any joy out of it for me.
  3. I have the X27 as well. It’s rusting away in the Garage somewhere. Was put into immediate retirement when I bought the Petrol Splitter. A Hookeroon and a Splitter and you’re almost effortlessly splitting 10 dumpy bags a day.
  4. Not good. Windy again today I see. 😬 Check your insurance is up to date.
  5. Join the club! Was quite wild around 10pm last night. Heard something go crash so ventured out to investigate. Five trees down in total. Mostly cleared up now with minimal damage. Power and phone line back up so that’s something.
  6. Not really
  7. Sure is Dave. Not a knot in that Oak.
  8. Gotta thank Dave for this Oak Order. Too good for what he wanted it for though.
  9. Keep it quiet.
  10. Busy few days knocking out Oak orders and milling Larch for my own uses. Since my Log Deck is in the process of getting moved Ive had to improvise. Also been laying claim to some Oak when out and about. [emoji3]
  11. Really? Im no expert (by a long long shot) but found Lime to be far more paler, at least up here. I agree on the bark though. Pics on the laptop are much easier to scrutinize than the phone.
  12. Fair enough. I don’t know. We’re just surmising get here. Whatever the motive they thought it was worth the effort. They might not even flog them on. Perhaps they’re looking at what buying in dumpy bags of green logs cost and cutting out the middle man? Two folk would easy shift 6t of logs in an afternoon. Even an old fart like yourself would manage it on your Tod.
  13. Round here it’s £90 a dumpy bag for hardwood, often green. Mental I know. A bag is what? 300kg? So 1t oak or beech log is 3 bags of £90 of logs. Im guessing Dave paid around £100 a ton so £600 worth could be 6t. 6t x 3 = £1800 in dumpy bag sales of green logs. No bad money for an afternoons thieving.
  14. And they’d be welcome to try.
  15. What a bugger! They’re lucky you where not there. I’d no fancy a slap off those size 11 hands![emoji16]
  16. Surely the guy with the Stump Grinder dictates the rates?
  17. Which way you going to play it. Buy or sell? I’ve sent Mark a PM. Hopefully he sees it and we can have a chat.
  18. Everyone and their dog claims to have an uprated version of the Rimi when they're caught out flogging the same machines. I assume you have proof of the claimed upgrades to justify the massive mark-up? I can but the RM500 for less than you're selling this basic machine. Why you think Im located close to Rock I have no idea?
  19. Its a pain in the arse but not mine. Been bodged a few times to keep it going. Im £60 a day including fuel and he drops it off and collects it. Im not gonna grumble.
  20. Well would you look at that.
  21. £15k! That’s mad! Yeh, looks like I need to sit down to open the email when it arrives. 🤣 I guess I’ll need to start looking into bodging up a permanent rail set up as well. I’ll have to look on YouTube . Thanks for the offer. Yes, I can see me asking for some advice. Can’t sell on here now that you all know what I’ve paid for it. 🤣
  22. That’s beautiful! I think the logs have already started to spalt, that’s what they think anyway. But I see your point. I should have mentioned that there is next to no access. Im not sure I’d even get the Jeep down the side of the house. They said a small car can get down. So an Avant would also make it. I’ve not seen the site myself so it’s all based on the homeowners opinion.
  23. Maybe? Good point. If they get back to me I’ll ask.
