  1. Yeh, like the Bandsaw it something Ive been eying up for a couple of years. Kept an eye on ebay etc and although its a baby compared to others I have a near constant supply of the timber its designed for at about £40 a ton. Ive my Splitter for bigger logs at my house. Im also finalising a gentleman's agreement where I'll enter a partnership with the Estate I get my Oak, Spruce and Plantation thinning's from. I noticed he has no time for Processing these days. His Stoves are about as hungry as mine and he burns a cube bag every few days. He also supplies the 11 or so houses on his Estate. He's down to his last 4 bags. So my suggestion to him was I use his Palax processor, his tractor to run it, the Avant, his fuel, his logs, his land, and do all the processing and stacking myself for half the produced firewood. I'm guessing I'll be producing 8-10 Hardwood bags a day and up to 14 Softwood Bags a day. Im now renting half the Barn so I can store about 100 bags there and the rest will have to be outside somewhere.
  2. My plan is to get the missus trained up.
  3. Thanks Dan. Yeh, seems like a nice bit of kit as long as I just put skinny lengths though it. That’s ok though as I have access to 100 acres of plantation thinnings. Seems with the Oil and Gas prices going through the roof it was a good time to invest.
  4. Always been this way, will always be this way. Regardless the colour you vote for.
  5. He’s a broken record.
  6. They’re sold out here in Norway. At least I’m certain areas. There’s reports that people are even buying the wrong kind.
  7. Thanks Dan. Was thinking about the Motorway as that was where he was gonna spend most of the 9 hours driving on.
  8. They’re gun barrel straight and branch free. If it was not for that I’d not bother with them.
  9. Most likely a one off. Clearing Storm damaged trees and his yard was full. I just paid the haulage to my place.
  10. Did you have TV1000 back in your day old timer? 🤣 Softcore before 23:00, hard after. Think Thursday nights was for those batting for the other team.
  11. I just paid £100 a ton for some of the best 30” Ash Sawlogs I’ve seen to date. I’ve also just paid £200 for an 18t load of Beech for Firewood. Pic is just the first 10t.
  12. I’ve done my time with crusty old mags found under the mattress or at the back of the drawers. 🤮
  13. Or any old VPN will do. I need a VPN off-shore for.....reasons.
  14. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10566713/Putin-propaganda-channel-Russia-Today-disappear-British-TV-screens.html
  15. Correct. The only State Sponsored propaganda we're allowed now is the BBC.
  16. I cant find anything fresher than this regarding Nord Stream 1. German stakeholder in Nord Stream 1 natural gas pipeline rejects calls to shut it down in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine WWW.BUSINESSINSIDER.COM E.ON told the Rheinische Post that it had rejected calls from Poland to shut down the key gas pipeline over Russia's... Perhaps you're referring to Nord Sream 2?
  17. Is that a no then?
  18. Got a link to that?
  19. I agree, or better yet refuse any O&G from Russia. Put their money where their mouth is.
  20. Oh oh, you're gonna have Mark J frothing at the bit at that comment.
  21. So it seems that Rob does not understand your comments either since he states you where/are being insulting. He thinks I should not retaliate to your insulting comments with what he believes is more insulting comments. Perhaps you should clarify your initial comments and explain why you believe what you accuse Germany, the US and the West in general of is not insulting.
  22. I’m no intention of insulting you. If you’re insulted by replies then maybe it’s your conscience being pricked. And Rob stated that you where being insulting. He just thinks that I should not offer up a rely that is also insulting. So it seems if you did not mean to be insulting it’s not just I that does not understand you.
  23. I think it’s what we’re being conditioned to believe. Now that RT is to be banned in the UK and various hacking groups are shutting down Russian media we’re getting a decidedly one sided view of what’s going on. With the amount of blatant propaganda and lies being fed from Ukraine to the Western Media served up to us as simply bolstering the Ukrainian spirits I’m certainly not taking Putins state of mind at the face value we’re being presented with. At the same time we’ve got Biden who is clearly demented supposedly calling the shots in the US but that’s ok. 🤣
  24. He’s allowed strong viewpoints. I’ve nothing against that, but with strong viewpoints comes strong counter viewpoints. If he’s going to come in here and claim we in the West are doing nothing to help whilst he is doing nothing to help then he should expect a retort along the same lines.
  25. Whilst on one hand he’s blaming the West for what’s happening and also not doing enough/anything. It’s very insulting when you see what the West is actually doing to help. I’ve yet to see the world react and defend a country with such swiftness. If he feels as strongly about helping there is no visa required to pop over and do what he expects the West to do and pick up arms. I’d make a contribution to that flight if he wants.
