  1. Not to that specification But you could try Harold Taylor and if he cant supply he might be able to help. 07778357088. Andy
  2. Ohhhhhh, I love that! Have you built one before? Hopefully you'll post progress pictures here.
  3. What’s your plans for them? Also, what do you mean by untreated?
  4. I’d personally prefer wild animals to be used for fur if they’re dispatched humanly and they’re not endangered. They get to lead a good life and in the blink of an eye they’re gone. Much better than farmed animals that have had a pitiful existence.
  5. Agreed. Nothing wrong with fur in the slightest if the animals living conditions are to an approved standard. As you say, if you wear leather, use glue or any other animal derivative then you need to take a look at your perspective and ask yourself if posting that link is due to the persons clouded and biased views of a certain party.
  6. If they’re happy to take the chance who am I to stop them?
  7. Must be an optical illusion, or you’re drinking early this week. ;).
  8. That’s the paid version. [emoji16]
  9. Yet here you are regardless. I always knew you where a lurker. Typical bitter old bugger you can only chip in with a dig. I’d have thought you’d be keeping a low profile after Dave handed you your arse yesterday.
  10. Fair enough. Is there such a thing as treated Sawlogs? A 10cm taper is very much dependant on how much I’ve been drinking. 😁
  11. Long story. The short version is I already had the log paid for and on the mill and then they started messing me around. Was easier to just take a bit of a hit and get it knocked out. Made up for it on the next one. [emoji6]
  12. Hello, are you after sawlogs? Or a milled product?
  13. Good dump out of Snow. Cars stuck on the A90. A Lorry Jack-Knived has fully blocked the southbound. The back roads then started to fill and Vans and Cars got stuck. [emoji849] Had some fun pulling them up the hill in the Grand Cherokee. Had to drive a lassies car up the hill in town as well. Not had this much fun in ages. [emoji16]
  14. I started with a Chinese Alaskan and now Ive got a 64" Panther, Mobile Sawmill, Stump Grinder, Mobile Processor and a Road tow Log Splitter. Its certainly an addictive hobby. My business model differs from the guy in question though. I charge more than most and cherry pick what I want.
  15. And leaves a rather clean finish. This one had a tickle with the 80 grit, 10mm bull nose and a rub down with white spirit to clean and reveal the grain. Feel a little hard done by just getting £200 for it.
  16. Mantles seem to be doing rather well just now. Just got another order for a 6”x4”x1200mm plus two uprights in 100mmx100mmx850mm. Planed, sanded and oiled for £400. Will take me 3-4 hours max. Will obviously need to pop out and re-oil a further couple of times. For mantles and beams you simply can’t beat the Makita Beam Saw.
  17. Gotta be a wind up? No ones that daft surely?
  18. I guess spunking loads of money is a form of saving.
  19. Nah, it’s an opportunity to buy as folk are selling off what they don’t want or can’t afford for cheap. I’ve snapped up a few bargains and hope to continue this trend.
  20. You get him telt Les! What does Dave know about the Armed Forces, eh? [emoji16]
  21. We all know what makes you blind. 🤣
  22. Maybe you need to leave a little more meat on the bone so the logger has something to chomp on? I had the same issue with the super thin stuff. I can’t quite comprehend how you intend to get above firewood prices for what is essentially worthless other that for burning? That 2.5 hours of logging will yield me £750. I can’t see anything else getting me remotely that return.
  23. No idea what happened to my post above. [emoji15]
  24. I sell 1” thick Waney Edged boards on facebay. In fact I’ve got someone coming tomorrow to who wants a regular supply. Now I’ve access to a branch logger I’ll be taking thicker scab cuts and putting them all through this machine. Can take a 4”thick times 8” wide scab. Last week I bagged up 14 or so 1-1/4 cubic meter bags and stacked them in two and a half hours. They sell for £50 a bag. [/url] [/url]I did a days milling for a local Estate. 100 larch logs needing one cut on each log. £450 for the day and just had to drive the Avant and push the saw. The scabs will fill 3 bags. That’s an extra £150. I’m gonna need a bigger shed. 🤣
