  1. As others have stated, you really need to go look up the definitions of communism and socialism as Scandinavian countries are neither.
  2. I dont think they think we're all stupid, just fishing for the few stupid people out there. And there is plenty of fish out there who take the bait.
  3. HMRC are on your back? Eeeek, that cant be good? I'm back over in Norway again on an Over Time trip. Cant turn down the cash. Will need to fabricate a new set of Ramps and Winch System for my Mill once its on the Trailer. Looking forward to the pics.
  4. Thanks, Ive passed this on to my Bro already. By already I mean right away I sent him the info you provided above. Thanks again.
  5. Well Ive read the other pages and my comment stands. You need to take a long hard look at yourself before you kill someone. Theres one thing posting a pic of an over loaded load then there's what you do. Its not apples and apples, its a whole different ball game. And your attitude to what you seem to have no intention of stopping is appalling. Luckily for you your reg number is not shown, or you'd have the Old Bill knocking sooner than you'd think.
  6. To be fair you seriously put your and others lives at risk and you see no problem with that. The severity of your overloading has been manifest in a broken Spring, but you just laugh it off as 'shock loading'. Its not so much the picture you posted its your attitude and ignorance.
  7. Hey, my Brother has a friend looking for either an Oak or Elm Slab. 1.6m long by 700mm wide and 50mm thick. The more figured the better and dry as it will need to go directly into the house. I have some but wold need to ship down to London and I assume that would not be cheap. Is anyone closer to London that could supply?
  8. Please keep them coming! Id love a Lucas Mill. Maybe one day. In the first vid how is the Alaskan Lad operating the Chainsaw?`Has he just cable tied the throttle down or something? ?
  9. Sure, hopefully wont get laughed out the park. Been looking at a few designs over the year and have a few idea's to play with. I like Elm, have a few really nice Burred Slabs drying just now. I know what you mean about long trips. This year mine have all been under 3 weeks, just more than usual. I must be at 110 days already. What have you been doing to the 130? Any further with the hydraulic loader? Im hopefully picking up some air dried 4" Oak Posts for the bed tomorrow, local lad with a Lumbermate. 2x 1400mm and 2 x 1000mm lengths. Said it would be £60-70. Seems reasonable to me, so maybe a good contact for Oak? I'll ask him tomorrow if he can get more Oak Saw Logs in for selling.
  10. Not as many as I had wanted as I ran out of Logs. But was good to clear some space. But I also collected 10 8"x10' posts that where supposedly Oak but ended up being treated softwood. A long drive up the road for nothing. took them so as not to waste the drive and paid him £200 instead of the £500 we agreed on for the Oak.
  11. I think with a few extras and the trailer Im closer to £11k now. Still, done now. Been knocking out 4" Fence Posts today knackered, but in a good way. Also took the cupping out of a couple of Oak Boards that will be one of my daughters head and foot boards on a bed Im making her.
  12. Hey thanks for the reply. I ended up with the 5 in 1 and so far Ive just used the Strimmer with the Blade. It works really well Im happy with it and if I get the 3 years it warranted for out of it Im happy.
  13. Thats what I was gonna get as well. Seem to have great reviews. I ended up buying a Logosol B751. Great Mill but when factoring in the Trailer at an additional £3600 delivered inc vat Id have gone for the Woodlands had I known how they'd rape me on the Trailer, which was not available at the time I bought the Logosol.
  14. Three loads. About 6 more to come Oak and Ash.
  15. Deffo, if I get a couple of bits out of them Im happy, the rest will go in the Stove. At that price I cant complain. There was a couple of cracking 45 and 55cm Butts in there too.
  16. What Mill do you have your eye on? Picked up over 7 tons of Oak today. All supposedly Firewood Grade. £30 a ton and I got to load with the Avant for free.
  17. Nor I yours. Everything you're suggesting he does in 3-5 minutes? Ok.....
  18. I don’t know mate. But I sure as sh1t don’t know how some of you guys manage to make a living charging what you do. Better off as a Window Cleaner. ?
  19. Nah, it was a £150 farmer job that the farmer is happy with. If he did all the extras you suggest it would be a 500 quid job he’d have not got nor the future work.
  20. 30 minutes, maybe an hour max? Regardless, he then has to deal with the arisings, add more time and effort onto that. The farmers happy. He got what he asked for and for pennies. If and when they romp away he'll maybe be called back to deal with them should that arise. Win/win Id say. Meh, it was a quick hundred and fifty quid job. Maybe this would be worth discussion on a job that was £500+, but it was not.
  21. I very much like Danish oil. Final coat buffed up with a scotchbrite and the excess wiped off. Leaves a finish you just cant stop running your hand over, feels natural yet with a shell-like finish. Warm to the touch like wood should be, unlike varnish.
  22. Keep in mind it was a £150 job not £1500......
  23. Just ordered one as my trusty little 036 is at the point of needing about this in repairs.
