  1. BS, you just love to get your little digs in then pretend to take the high road.
  2. Really? Aggressive? Calling a spade a spade in reply to a baiting post is aggressive? Maybe Im not using the right emojis or something? Im anything but aggressive, plain talking maybe, but I concede that plain talking upsets a certain mindset. Anyway, remind me why you've had so many PM's and almost banned by the mods?
  3. Its awesome how everyone can post political comments apart from me. What do I have to do? Jump on the Butthurt, Snowflake ''Liberal'' bandwagon or something?
  4. Kinda one of the reasons I hate FB forums. You post something and then its almost lost forever. Threads dont really exist so its hard to go back and find old 'threads' and topics.
  5. You could not make it up. You clearly have no respect for other peoples perspective yet demand it of others.
  6. If we where not so far away in our political spectrum we really should get on like a house on fire.
  7. After mucking out the chickens and ducks then an hour of leaf blowing I thought I’d have an hour to myself milling a wee log. It was firewood and only 130cm x 50cm wide but must have cost me a fiver. ? some nice clean slabstt came out. The other logs, well, what I can get out great, the dross I’ll just burn.
  8. Im on an American car forum for Chrysler/Mopars, Ie Dodge Chargers. The UK forum is dead in the water and has less and less members whilst a new FB forum, which is UK based has 50,000 members within the last 2 years. But a USA based forum has a global member base and is constantly full of new threads. Unfortunately FB is where forums seem to headed, its horrid as FB has no way of keeping a track of threads like a traditional forum does. I guess its up to the users of this and other forums to keep them alive and Im quite sure this forum is going from strength to strength. FB is no substitute.
  9. I know right? Who'd have thought there was so many here who whole heavyhearted support Labour and their IRA and other Terrorist organisations loving leader? Others openly wish to see the demise of democracy in the UK as it aligns with their own political beliefs. I just pull up my big boy pants and dont let it bother me. But if someone wishes to introduce politics into a completely unrelated thread them Im all over that.
  10. What’s the problem? Being bitter about Brexit has clearly left a bitter taste in his mouth, so much so he’s even found a way to blame the supposed downfall of the sub forum on it.
  11. Don’t be so asinine. You singled out “right-wing” comments. You could have easily just me too Ed the thread without singling out any elements, hence why it was a politically charged comment, as you well know. Sounds like you need a change from what normally leaves a bad taste in your mouth....?
  12. Well maybe think next time before posting unwarranted politically charged posts then getting on your high horse when someone disagrees with you.
  13. Oh ok? A bit rich coming from you considering you made this thread political and highlighted your political bias while creating a Strawman argument. ?
  14. Well if you think that one or two threads debating Brexit, on a sub-forum hardly anyone visits is putting people off viewing the sub forum for chainsaw carving much to contrary to everyone else opinion and evidence then of course that's your right. Its also mine to call you out on your BS.
  15. Where do you find this Brexit talk apart from in the Brexit and some times making the news today thread? I genuinely interested as I feel I'm missing out on another opportunity to post some right wing rants.
  16. Is there a particular reason you cut at 3m instead of the full Mill length?
  17. Stunning! What is it? Elm? I Milled a nice feature Elm a while ago with the Alaskan, was much easier with the first cut system and a hand winch.
  18. I was thinking the exact same thing. This sub forum seems like a protracted market research questionnaire these days.
  19. Aye fair enough. £2-300 is on the low side but I was taking into consideration its only one Butt and maybe someone would be happy to Mill it for that price? I know I would be.
  20. I seriously doubt a Mill will take the log. Its not worth their time and the chances of it being full of metal will put them right off. If you're wanting it milled I think you'd either have to sell it for £100 and forget about it or pay someone £2-300 for a days Milling, keeping in mind they'll want chains/bands that get chewed up in whatever metal might be buried in there covered.
  21. I buy hardwood from a local estate for £30 a ton, they load for me and off I go. Have to split and stack myself obviously.
  22. Depends on the effect you want I guess? If its for a piece of feature furniture then I can see why you'd leave the stumps on, but of its for nice straight slabs then I can see why you'd want the butt as straight as possible. I guess to get the features you'd need to mill it on a 48" plus Alaskan.
