As far as Im concerned paper gold is just that, a bit of paper. I like to have some physical. Gold is a store of wealth, has been for the last 6000 years. Currencies barely last 100 years, I think 60 years is the average* , but Id have to look. Yet the gold burried in Roman times is still as valuable as when it was buried. So what can you do with the gold? Well, a gram or two sure is lighter than carrying a few hundred killos of Tatties on your back. No, you cant eat gold, but maybe the person you want to buy carrots from does not want your tatties. So you have to barter or exchange something else. Gold is also much easier to conceal than a big bag of spuds.When society implode no one throws their gold in the street. Its the only real currency and returns to that state. The people who never came back for their gold where not coming back for anything else either. So its really an irrelevant point. *Edit- Its 27 years.

Wearing a face mask is uncool. In the industry I work in PPE is so ingrained into me that its second nature to wear to all the time. When working with mates they call me Mr Safety. I'm away to have a look at the link, cheers. Ive not been wearing a mask yet but I guess I need to reconsider that.

Im sure the world could influence the Chinese to clean up their act? Maybe after this outbreak they might start on their own accord? I doubt it though, so they may need some gentle leaning. Someone posted the other day that there was something like 500,000 NHS employees on £100,000 or more. Id hate to think what that figure would be if that number was dropped to encompass £80,000 and above. This to me is a clear indication that the money the NHS is given is not being spent wisely nor would it do so if they where to get a significant spending increase. But the latest Tory budget has given the NHS what many would consider a large budget increase. Will it make a difference or will it be wasted? If many were unaware of the ignore button then surely going by todays toy throwing Ive already got that record?

Thats kinda what Im after. Want a Bluetooth set as I mainly listen to Absolute Radio and it only on DAB. But Id be wanting to use them for Brush Cutting too. So might have to keep looking.

Completely agree. They do seem to want unlimited funding yet don't seem to want to pay for it, or even have a suggestion of how it will be funded. The NHS is no longer fit for propose in its current guise. It really needs dismantling and building from the ground up, but obviously thats never gonna happen. So it will just keep creeking on.

Its infuriating that folk are still not doing as their told. It will just cause more folk to get ill and continue the cycle. Most wont be that heavily affected healthwise, but with increased cases this bloody lock-down will just continue and put more and more jobs on the line.

Personal and aggressive? I made a comment and you took the piss and said said my tinfoil hat was slipping. But I can assure you there is nothing aggressive in my response. Just using your own logic and responding in kind. No, Im not an expert in everything I speak of, and thats the point. You claimed you could not speak about the subject as you're not a virologist not I. My comment was a lot of these viruses seem to originate in China, and they originate there by the way they treat their animals. You responded by taking the piss. Then you threw the toys out the pram and claimed its my fault. But clearly you do not wish to have your taxes increased to be better prepared for new viruses coming. As money does not grow on trees how do you wish to fund being better prepared? Or was it just a whine?
